Roman armor would be WAY out of our already loose time period. Just wouldn't fit.

I don't play a time period, I play an ahistorical video game.  cRPG doesn't purport to be 'set' anywhere anymore, except in the minds of the most hardcore roleplayers.  I don't see a good reason to not include Roman armours if (a) lots of people would like them (b) they're not gamebreaking top-quality gear and (c) they can be designed nicely.  I'm fine with almost any new equipment so long as it satisfies a-c.

Not only do we need Roman gear, we also need other gay equipment, like Village People attire.

I can understand both parties, the "history addicts" and "its a game" faction. In general Id say if something is fun then implement it as this is what a game is for. But roman armor is too extreme even for my taste. It slightly drags the game into a super smash brothers theme, where a medivel sword fighter can compete against a space age space marine or vice versa. Well kinda.

Yea, if we start going B.C. and early AD civilizations then people are going to demand Greek, Celtic and ancient Egyptian gear as well, amongst others. That's like a whole other Total war game lol.

I'd be fine with that^  It'd be pretty shoddy equipment next to Milanese Plate and Italian Swords but I'd be fine with it.

Looks cool!  Do you know of any full armour sets for earlier era gear?

I'm using the katafraktoi ATM but actual roman armour would be fun to use.

And what would be wrong with that?Would actually be pretty awesome...

It´s not like cRPG is even remotely uniformal anway.

We have Mongols, Japanese,A lot of different Europeans, Turks, arabs...

Why not some earlier stuff, too?

Wouldnt really hurt the gian picture...
Maybe it woud be better for me to find out where you life and kill you when you are satch a Soziopath. You have enough now.

Make the game bigger, more bloated, add more aesthetic choices before fixing bugs. +1

It would be awesome, but I don't think the devs are up for such a colossal task..

Plus, I think their main focus atm is project strat anis

you can just pull the armours out of this mod...http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=3485 :)
and to the out of the time period debate about roman amour this game is already wide spread so just let it happen and move on Legio and Lost Legion have waited long enough lol
