Hounour in this game

Hello again forum,

Just wanted to say a few things about honour in this game, semi- rage thread, but i think most would agreee with me.

Have you ever been having a decent battle/dual/fight/standoff with someone?, only to have it interuppted by a yours or theirs teamate coming up behind you or them and ending either of their lives. I'm guessing you have, and I'm guessing it has pissed you off greatly.

What i find the most rage inducing factor in this mod is the complete and utter disrespect for honour. At the risk of stating the obvious, it's as if everyone is bloody obssessed with getting kills, which is absurd anyway, since there really is no personnel benefit in getting kills.

All I want, and I feel other people will want, is just some simple honour and respect, next time ya see your teammate fighting someone else, don't all pile in and try to get the last hit, let them fight it out, there is always plenty of people around to kill.
Next time someone is dehorsed, don't all come rusing towards him to try to get the kill, it's pointless and only serves to increase that players rage.

Don't you fell that the mod would be more enjoyable with more fair fights, instead of constantly worrying about someone coming behind you and stabbing you mid dual?

I believe there are servers for one-on-one "honourable" duels.

I know there are dual servers, but I mean just during a proper game of battle, i believe a little bit of honour can make the game more pleasant for everyone.

Yeah I agree. 80% of my deaths come from behind me, and that's not because im running away, I fight to the death, usually by someone other than the person im fighting.

I will stab you all in the back if the opportunity presents itself with little risk to myself, just like real life.
And how!

The Fallen Brigade actively discourages members from dueling., it is a tactical mistake. In the real world, you will find that "honor" is a subjective term that differs from culture to culture.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.

In battle you play for victory and thats it. "Honour" is the reason I dont like to go to melee sever because I dont know if someone gets angry if I go 2vs1

Then my view of the fallen brigade has most definatley been tainted, views like this only server to create a bad attitude in game, and therefore a bad community.

Well I don't like it when people try to build catapults in siege.

Honour doesn't give me x5.

How is a duel honourable:

-if he is a pikeman?
-if he is a lower level?
-if he has different ping?
-if he you have a shield and his broke?
-if he is an archer/thrower/crossbow-user?
-if you start the "duel" facehugging?

I could go on.

There is no honour in war, remember that.

If MR_FISTA spots someone not paying attention to their surroundings I will punish them with a swift hit from my Long hafted Knobbed Mace.

Then my view of the fallen brigade has most definatley been tainted, views like this only server to create a bad attitude in game, and therefore a bad community.

Bad attitude is also subjective.

People who facehug in the duel server while waiting for the duel to begin, yes those people I have a problem with. people who swing recklessly through team mates even with low ping, that I have a problem with too. Revenge TKing or TWing is a bit of a jerk move as well, there are a lot of examples of bad attitude.

For me, bad attitude is trampling your team mate to steal a kill, but good attitude is helping your friend win a fight. Battle Servers re-enact battles, small scale skirmishes, they are not a tournament on "may the best duelist win." There is a duel server, and to be frank I find your attitude to be bad if you expect and berate Battle Server Players to play like Duel Server Players. If I am fighting someone, and I see you "waiting" to let me finish and don't help me, I find that behavior to be "bad" as it means you are not a team player.

Considering the Fallen Brigade is based on how well you can work as a team if asked to, and not how well you can duel, I find your view of us acceptable as it means we are doing our job correctly and attracting the correct people and keeping undesirables out.
