I got to be the only guy in Europe that likes vanilla coca cola (not the normal taste, the special one that tastes remotely like vanilla). But also Cherry Coke and all these sweet tastes. In Europe people like the original and lemon cola, nothing else. Each time the company tested sweet varieties, they were taken back almost immediately. The majority doesn't like when you add sweet tastes over sweet tastes, so we have lemon cocacola (and also orange cocacola that survived a few years), but in fact it contains much more sugar/sweetener due to the compensation provided by the agrum's acid.
You don't find pepsi very often in Belgium, but I really didn't liked it, at least compared to coca. It feels like directly eating aspartame pills, with this weird "metallic" taste on top of the illusion of sugar.
Anyway, I in fact dislike both as "heavy consumption soda" (you know, that 6-pack of 2l bottles near your desktop), because they contain so much gas I have to pause all the time when I'm drinking, to avoid eating all that gas and loosing time... somewhere else, or making atrocious burps.
