I dunno, horses are pretty strong. It also has 4 leg, which I imagine is a bit easier to catch yourself with if you trip with one leg.

Horses should also die or the rider should fall off when they run full speed into a wall, and a hit to the horses legs should cripple it and make it unable to move.
