EU polearm kills:
Polearm
---
Heavy Lance (mounted)             5,726,522  34.20%
Long Spear                        998,948    5.97%
Great Long Axe                    889,619    5.31%
Heavy Lance                       596,483    3.56%
War Spear                         590,172    3.53%
Lance (mounted)                   518,207    3.10%
Awlpike                           473,112    2.83%
Pike                              422,081    2.52%
Long Hafted Blade                 404,460    2.42%

Mounted Heavy lance is more kills than the next 9 polearms. That's including the Lance (mounted). Without that it'd be even more. It is just less than 6 times more kills than the 2nd place killer, the longspear.
US Polearms kills:
Polearm
---
Heavy Lance (mounted)              3,965,363  31.22%
Long Spear                         880,724    6.93%
Pike                               632,020    4.98%
War Spear                          503,263    3.96%
Bec de Corbin                      479,231    3.77%
Awlpike                            427,092    3.36%
Long Hafted Blade                  392,029    3.09%
Elegant Poleaxe                    320,802    2.53%
Lance (mounted)                    315,671    2.49%
Heavy lance (mounted) has more kills than the next 8 put together including the Lance (mounted). A bit more than 4 times more kills than the second place killer, the longspear.
This is rather surprising, since in comparison for EU two handers their first place is only the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th places added together or about 2.6 times more kills than 2nd place. For NA two hands the 2nd and 3rd place add up to first and first is less than double kills than second. I compared against 2h since they both prevent the use of a shield while in use. The kill difference between top scoring one handers is actually quite small.
Everything under this is me going insane. Ignore it.Actually I may not be insane. It really does seem that for example the Polearm damage in the stats is actually the polearm + polearm (mounted) damage. Yet polearm (mounted) is another section that got rated. So without it polearms would only be 5% of the kills on EU, but that just seems to small.
What I've learned from this? Polearms are gaining a huge standing in the stats even though we normally count cav as a different class than polearm footmen. I don't see why the mounted stats are included in the footman stats in any of the weapons. Cav really is a different thing. Here is the stats without mounted kills included.
EU stats:No mounted
TwoHander- 12,136,178  40%
OneHander-   6,656,776  22%
Bow-              3,934,160  13%
Polearm-        3,037,369  10%
Crossbow-     2,854,962    9%
Thrown-         1,463,725    5%
Total-           30,083,170
NA stats:No mounted
TwoHander-  8,572,973    39%
OneHander-  4,673,768    21%
Polearm-       3,156,778    14%
Bow-             3,130,551    14%
Thrown-        1,476,584      7%
Crossbow-       942,668      4%
Total-          21,953,332
Spread sheet was rounding to two decimals.
This gives a much better view of how things work among footmen.
Edit: Looking at the stats with mounted included but separate shows the differences even more. I might do them tomorrow if someone else doesn't.
