Do we still not receive gold back for anything sold to villages, cities or castles?

umm you always have. but its like 50% of its base cost.(for items)
and whatever the village is paying for trade goods. (trade goods)

That bug was only with loomed (or unrepaired) items. It should be fixed now. But better to be safe than sorry, sell 1 first and see f you get gold for it.

Just gonna correct you: it's 20%, not 50%.

Okay, yeah I sold one crappy shield for like .7 gold and nothing changed it my gold inventory.  I'll try something a little more expensive and see what happens.

Well, yeah, if the gold is between 0 and 1, you might ought to increase it so you know you'll at least should get 1 gold. Btw, when you check it again, please post here so we can confirm if it works or not.

Yeah it works now.  Sold something that was just over a gold and noticed my stash go up by 1... sweet.

Was it a heirloomed or broken item so we can confirm that it also works now with them?

No it was just a regular item purchased while in one of the towns. =/
