Bets have been taken and the challenged informed, now we're just waiting to organize the first matches! (Be a little patient, it's still in it's infant stage and things will probably not be running smoothly the first time)
I challenge SgtTeeh to a duel! Though not necessarily with a side sword...
Hold your horses :p One challenge at a time.
Also, you should let people know when the duels are going down so they can watch.
Indeed, I'll try to organize with the participants.
Why have any tier of armor but not allow looms? Because my +3 Ragged Outfit is only slightly better for body armor than a normal Padded Leather, and far below any chainmail. Seems like a silly rule for lower tier gear.
It's more of a principle. It's mostly valid for archer and cav duels where looms matter more, but I thought it silly that one should come to a duel decked out in fully loomed armor.
And people are expected not to bring plate, remember it's a duel of honor which means that defending it must be done with style and respect!
You should force them to duel 1h or 2h and use stf chars.
Nop.
A system might be put in place that allows for loom usage if the opponent is higher level though.
I totaly forgot.
I challange, Goretooth, Smoothrich, Tydus, Tears, Muki, chadz, BADPLAYER, Canary, Arrowine and Poophammer.
Server: BB AUS. Or DD AUS, either or.
Cheers,
Frank
Nice to see you eager "mate", but you apparently didn't read the rules.
Btw, even though it's your thing and thus your rules, and that you allow people to set up their own if both agree, I do think allowing the long swing polearms and not the flamberge is kinda weird. The only thing the flamberge has over those is that small off-timing on blocks that sometimes results in people thinking they blocked, releasing and then getting hit a few ms after that, but that's only minor compared to polestagger IMO.
Well, I am considering banning the Glavie as well (this will be up for public vote). All the other polearms have shorter or equal swings to the greatswords and as such will not be considered.
What I'm trying to shy away from is boring duels, although the public reaction against this has been strong, so I'll put up another vote.
