If you've ever seen Red Cliff, you'll probably know the guy I'm talking about and (to be honest I don't remember his name) how he actually tackles a heavy warhorse down.  He's the one with the monkey-faced beard, and he goes around punching spears in half and shit.

I want to see that in cRPG.

Lies, they'd be too busy catching your projectiles whilst doing spins & front flips in the air to even bother.

I want this, only if headbutt is added so I can practice Shaolin Iron-head technique. Instead of learning to use this technique through points it should be based on practice by headbutting a wall.

The head but idea sounds great. Would be so much better than the lame arse kick if you just ploughed your helmet into people.

I've mentioned the weapon disarming in the past but I don't know if there would be a way to properly balance it. It would be equally amusing and frustrating approaching someone who puts their weapon away and you wouldn't be able to disarm holding a shield.
And how!

Do you people seriously believe that medieval people fought like we do in Warband, just spamming weapons around?

Of course martial arts were essential part of the combat. Cheap tricks also. Sadly we have only one in crpg, kickslash...

Martial arts =/= weeaboo

Quote
The term martial art has become heavily associated with the fighting arts of eastern Asia, but was originally used in regard to the combat systems of Europe as early as the 1550s. An English fencing manual of 1639 used the term in reference specifically to the "Science and Art" of swordplay. The term is ultimately derived from Latin, martial arts being the "Arts of Mars," the Roman god of war

In order to make an unarmed 'pugilist' weapon choice become viable - we would first need a way to disarm people, I suggest a shield bash (replaces kick when holding shield block, has the same range and can't be spammed) which would cause the victims weapon to spin off a short distance. Then we might see more players willing to throw a punch out of desperation.
Maybe you are not bad, but you are a boring person. Well, that's the end of the matter.

There should be shield bash at least. It was a very common attack in battles.
