CHOPAS - Wat the Heck? (NA Faction)

As far as I know, whomever was the leader of the original clan Stratia came up with it as a name for his... clan. It was intended to be a Grecian hoplite type of clan, if I recall. Right. After having looked it up, it is apparently greek for "an army; a band of soldiers" which I'd say is fitting. The way we use it is more as a name for some possibly crumbled old world empire, but there you have it. It stuck when they dissolved the old Stratia and Socrates formed the Remnants (because they wanted a solely NA clan) and then when we decided we needed to break off from ol' RS it stuck again, this time in part due to the lengthy search for a keen clan tag, and coming up with dozens of stupid acronyms finally gave us something usable.

Bonus points for people who remember when, before the RS were formed, the name Stratian Sellswords cropped up on some EU server at one point, with the clan tag of SS, and everybody complained a lot and so it got changed.

Double bonus points for those who remember "a certain someone" who thought it would be cool to recreate that with exactly the negative connotation those two letters together conjure up in mind and split off to form another SS with real German-type ranks and get bitched out on the forums (and rightly so).

And no Kronic. Boy those EU chopped our asses off with the SS tag, we could of kept it because chadz said as long as it doesn't really relate to the chocolate chip cookies we were fine which it didn't. We decided to change it though to avoid anymore trouble with people.

Also It was me and Cu who made the name. Stratia was a greek word meaning an army somewhere along the lines. It used to be Reunion of the Greeks at first then we made RS shortly afterwards.

Oh and yes, Spear and Shield was rape back then. The spears like Awlpike and Long Awlpike were way better. There was no weight speed reduction so 24/12 was the way to go. You could have done immense damage, and the game was new to most people so I exploited them with easy feints on the Spear and jump attacks.
