Serious question, what is stratia? I have wondered this for a while......is it from some prior game?

As far as I know, whomever was the leader of the original clan Stratia came up with it as a name for his... clan. It was intended to be a Grecian hoplite type of clan, if I recall. Right. After having looked it up, it is apparently greek for "an army; a band of soldiers" which I'd say is fitting. The way we use it is more as a name for some possibly crumbled old world empire, but there you have it. It stuck when they dissolved the old Stratia and Socrates formed the Remnants (because they wanted a solely NA clan) and then when we decided we needed to break off from ol' RS it stuck again, this time in part due to the lengthy search for a keen clan tag, and coming up with dozens of stupid acronyms finally gave us something usable.

Bonus points for people who remember when, before the RS were formed, the name Stratian Sellswords cropped up on some EU server at one point, with the clan tag of SS, and everybody complained a lot and so it got changed.

Double bonus points for those who remember "a certain someone" who thought it would be cool to recreate that with exactly the negative connotation those two letters together conjure up in mind and split off to form another SS with real German-type ranks and get bitched out on the forums (and rightly so).

Bonus points for people who remember when, before the RS were formed, the name Stratian Sellswords cropped up on some EU server at one point, with the clan tag of SS, and everybody complained a lot and so it got changed.

Double bonus points for those who remember "a certain someone" who thought it would be cool to recreate that with exactly the negative connotation those two letters together conjure up in mind and split off to form another SS with real German-type ranks and get bitched out on the forums (and rightly so).

I remember both of these events on the old taleworld forums but I'd have to actually search to find the name of that "certain someone".  It's right there on the edge of my mind though.   
I remember that at the time I thought it was actually one of the more effective troll threads I had seen on the TW site in a while, even if the whole chocolate chip cookie thing is kind of ez mode trolling.   

BTW:  Apparently I am losing my voice for some reason, so I will probably be avoiding talking as much as possible in TS for a day or two.  Forewarning though;  If I do talk my voice my crack, gurgle, squeak, growl or otherwise do strange things and change timbre's randomly.  Feel free to point and laugh, I know I would.

He's in temporary housing while his company gets his job in order. The internetz is bawls bad over where he is.

He graduated college this past spring, so he's getting settled with his new job.

He doesn't come on TeamSpeak I don't know why, I think it's cos I tend to scream down the hallway at him while holding the Push to Talk button down, so he hears me yelling at him while I yell at him
