First of all i said under 2 years, that means less than (<) for those who dint know.
second of all you all went right past the point, i don't even know if its worth explaining.
When i go play on the NA servers, there's at most 150 players on that is NOTHING (re-read that, yeah i said at most, meaning less than(<) 150 players) and that number will only go in one direction, yeah downwards whether you like it or not.

You're all in some sort of dream land, cRPG won't be powered forever, it will come to an end I'm simply saying that you guys should move on to something bigger even if you love your "mature" community.

Nice community btw, its huuuge and its growing, what a great attitude.

Well yeah, if you feel like that i would indeed totally recommend you to move on.

I on the other hand am looking forward to M&B2 and all the people that will move there with us as well as all the new players that will start playing cRPG2 when it is released
This all assuming M&B2 will be as modable as Warband.
The whole doomsday thing is kinda pointless as it would be no prob to move everyone's chars over.

If you are trying to say that we should start our own indi project - leave that to us, right now this is a hobby and we like it.

Pfft stupid doomsday predictions.

I have seen other mods that have moved from sequel to sequel and only grown. I don't see why crpg should be any different. The community, although a pain in the arse, is generally a good one. The community has only grown. The developers are constantly working on things and the mod has never been better.

Look to the left.

<----

Can you move that as well? I'd be a lost soul without my traditional look.

I hope that when and if M&B2 is released that we could just port everything over and still have our awesome gen 20+ chars and such but with a (hopefully) improved core game and other nice things.

Even if everything had to be scrapped and cRPG start over from page 1 for M&B2, I'd still play it, make maps for it and derp about on its forums.
Maybe you are not bad, but you are a boring person. Well, that's the end of the matter.

The char data is all there.
Problem will be items as they will for sure not include everything available.
One option would always be to translate all items into gold so people can just rebuy their gear until more gets added or just adding the old stuff but considering they will hopefully use a up to date standard those might just not fit the game quality wise.

Nothing will be lost though.

It would be silly not having complete wipe in m&b 2. All poor noobs that will buy m&b2 and never played warband would be absolutely hopeless (GTX instantly) against all fully loomed level 35 monsters.

Newblets will have a hard time with or without lvl 35 monsters simply due to the players who have played longer being vastly better and more experienced. Not like a wipe will undo skill.

Just play the game as long as you're having fun, then move on. Somehow, people seem to think they could lose something here. You cannot lose what you don't have, all cRPG is virtual. The only thing substantial is your memory of the good times you had while playing this great mod and the nice (or not so nice) people you met along the road.

Or, in other words, the journey is its own reward. I would insert a link to a great subnormality comic here, if I could find it.

Who said that M&B2 will have the same character/skill/stat system as M&B?
