Hey, this was a pretty good idea, and could be pretty fun. However, I think you could have been a bit better on giving instructions and informing us about what to do in game. I was just told about the joust 20 minutes before it started and didnt know it had a thread with info. I joined the server and did everything just as I was told, however I wasnt told much. For instance I didnt know that I could respawn with weapons by joining spectator and then swap team back. When it was the templars turn I didnt know that was the thing I was supposed to do. I just heard "come down" and I walked down, but some guards were blocking the way. It could have taken you 3 seconds to give this information.
I aplologize for getting a bit angry, but when you join, follow instructions on everything you're told, you wait about one hour obediantly without causing any ruckus (like 50% of the people there were doing), and when its your turn to joust you're told the match is over because one on your team rode twice even though none of the ones participating in that duel actually got in a hit. Then others (the ones making it take forever to start in the first place due to fighting and starting a ruckus) starts being asses and calling your team names and such.
So as a conclusion, if you're going to host a similar even again you should focus more on giving information in game as the event progresses. For instance saying in the join server message that one should check out the even thread if one hasent already is a good idea. Just as a ground rule, you cant expect people to do as you want unless you tell them what you want them to do.
