Siege ladders

Please return ladders to Siege; they made this game much more dynamic than the stale limited assault directions from Native and I don't remember anyone ever complaining about ladders in Siege, only in battle mode where archers would make any roof a fortified position. Map balance is also severely screwed in several of the castles now.

i actually like and somewhat disliked when they removed siege ladder. It makes defense and offense much more balanced in my opinion. But kinda decrease the fun out of siege. So i don't know which side to pick.

Map balance was already screwed; the attackers generally win 3-0 on about half the maps. I'd like to test this "no ladders" mode a bit longer before deciding.

sure, take from attackers and give to def. henceforth, defenders will win majority.

because with ladders it is very very very easy for a clan to hit the server and win every round quickly

This. Ladders broke many of the maps completely, and made others clearly harder to defend than attack on. Need to see how it works without them, if it just skews the balance in the other direction then I guess devs will have to figure something else out. It's false to say it was fine before, though.

What about maybe putting a limit of, lets say, n ladders per round? This would force attackers to use them wisely

There was a limit but is was quite high.
Yes, a mass rush via a backladder could you bring a fast victory. But it were usually the same spots, so with some spotters you could defend that.

Most siege maps have bottle necks, thats why ladders were great fun  :cry:

I say give it a week or so, then we'll have the experience to really complain about ladder removal...or maybe we'll enjoy siege more, who knows :P
