In this very first edition, we will begin with a the cavalry tournament. Its place the cavalry arena!
The second edition depends on the outcome of this one. If frequency will be high there might be a vid from the event.

Cavalry tournament
Teams of 3 cavalry players fight against each other in a double elimination bracket system.
Teams are made by any players that wish to play with each other, no clan restrictions.
If you are a "lone wolf" and dont know any cav players to play with, sign up and a randomer team will be created just for you!

Rules (in arena):
- Teams of 3 cavalry players
- Teams begin from starting positions on either blue or red side of the arena
- Best of three (if after two fights team B have no chance to surpass team A point wise its over)
- After each round, join spectator and spawn again

- Each kill gives 1 point (only enemy team)
- Each horse kill gives -2 points (friend or enemy)
- Killing rider and horse with one hit counts as 1 point
- Any horse, any armor, any weapon
- No shields allowed
- No jumping allowed

- Dismounting during fight will result in disqualification of your team
- When dehorsed by enemy, join spectator, do not fight else the penalty for the enemy will removed


Rules (global):
- Dont act like a tard
- Dont kill fellow spectators or participants
- Everybody starts as spectators (without horse and weapon), unless told otherwise
- Ground level in the map is reserved for the participants, and people handling the tournament
- If any spectator go to ground level kick/ban without warning will occur
- When team will be called to get ready, they need to go to waiting tent (either red or blue, told by admin) in time up to 3 minutes

It is a bit unfair that ranged is allowed, but no shields.

and how bout -2 points when u kill enemy horse?
and why u gotta go spectate when u dehorsed?
no jumping?

so baseiclly u want something like a joust tourny or what?
if u allow ranged there is noway u not allow shields

With shields HA would have no chance in that arena when facing melee cav, i think its fair. And remember no dehorsing as HA, they need to aim for the riders that can wear any armor, not that easy really!

- 2 for dehorsing is there to make it a cav fight, if everybody would dehorse each other it will be but infantry fight
- You go spec when dehorsed as their team is already got penalty for dehorsing you. If there is a free horse near you, you can be honorable (if it was accident ofc) and remove their penalty by getting back to fight. Its your choice
- No jumping to avoid exploiting, someone makes a downblock and jump just before the other guy attack, and get dehorsed

dont worry so much about HA guys, if you feel its the way to win it bring 3xHA and prove me wrong ;)

Cav doesn't mean just sitting on your horse 24/7 and becoming completely apathetic once you're off it. A cav is a complete fighter. Also, you'll see tons of silly stuff such as every lancer using black armor. Oh, and you'd remove so many angles of attack.

im shield user myself 6 points in it, but i want it to be fair for all cav classes as much as possible, even HA ;p ofc cav can do fine on foot, but its not the point of this event, its about cav clash and aiming for the rider not  the innocent god loving pony

there is no restriction on armor as i think it would favorise guys with loomed armors, i think most cav will play in their usual gear (probably loomed), maybe new players will pick something heavier to compensate lack of shield vs ranged, but i would be surprised to see everybody in black armor ;) i always thought cav players got better fashion sense than that ;]

also about the dehorsing rule maybe its not clear but it will work like this :
- you get dehorsed
- enemy that dehorsed you get -2 points for his team
- your decidion
    - join spectator keep the -2 points penalty for the enemy
    - keep fighting, remove penalty from enemy ( i would do that only if there is some free horse nearby )
- if dehorsed by friendly your team gets -2 points without option to cancel it

Clearly interested and I'm confident we can confirm as soon as we know the precise time.

However, I am a bit concerned by the dehorsing-penalty. While I understand your intentions, I have a feeling this will be quite different from what we know as "cavving" on the battle servers. Personally, I would not mind allowing to continue fighting when dismounted.
Np with the no-shield-policy though, as I agree HA will have a hard time.

Anyway, since it's your first attempt, let's give it a try.
