Thanks for organizing this battle.

Suggestion: Maybe make every third round a free round for fun (no equipment-limitations). I think, it would be a good setoff/compensation after two normal battles.

My comments concerning team balance:

I had expected Merciless + 22nd + wolper + HRE to be a very strong counter to this. It turned out this was not entirely true.

I hope that with the Draft for the next battle we can achieve a better balance.

What a suprise...... lol. I heard it was pretty rape (slaughter)
Maybe clans should do there homework more, before hosting and organizing events like this.
ANd yeah you had fair reasons to believe team  1would bring out there best players, and team 2 there worst, so it would balance out.... herpa derpa
But thanks for the effort

I did not fully realize the hitting power of the Byzantium + Nord + Bandit melee mob. They pretty much decided the outcome every round from my point of view.

I gave you a list of there usual equipment setup, but you gave no attention to it, nor you had no idea. You simply discarded the whole thought, and went with your own. So dont go saying that you didnt expect the hitting power

Anyways if you still want to go thru with these battle. May i offer myself as 1 of your counselors when it comes to team balancing ? Ide like to help

Thank you very much for your offer but I'm sure the organizers of this event can manage without you.

Heheh yeah that was epic. Looked even cooler from my perspective though... i could see that big group of cav just plow through the enemy team.

Do we have any more video of the battle (besides that snippet of the 'bonus round')?

...but I was also not aware it was allowed to camp one of the map edges. I'm pretty confident it is not allowed in strategus.

Anyway, great fun and I hope we can do this again ;)

Yeah, i have to admit it was a very cheezy tactic. It's a bit of a problem, to be honest. Map edges offer great defensive advantages in battle mode cRPG.

No rules against it though, afaik. In strategus it's not an issue because of the spawn flags.

On one of the maps we did not just camp the map edge, we camped the map corner. That corner sloped up into a bit of a hill, offering advantage to our ranged and made it impossible for your cavalry to threaten them.

Normally, the Master of the Field-flags prevent such cheezy cornercamping. Perhaps we can make a 'gentleman's agreement' to not use the 'cornercamp' tactic in our Sunday Large Team Battles?

Perhaps but for that you'd need to find some gentlemen first.

Damn straight it is a cheesy "tactic" but it is only a problem when it is abused by a team. I was disappointed to see it used so heavily by team 2. Especially even when they had a big points lead, yet still somehow felt the need to abuse the map edge. Only on the last map did you not use it at all, and some of those rounds were actually a bit close, but by then most  players on team 1 had ceased to care.

---

Why have some bullcrap "gentlemans agreement"? Why not just flat out ban that retarded stuff. Any idiot can tell their team to hide in the corner. It is not fun, interesting or tactical. Otherwise every game will be like this, one team wins the first round, then starts camping to gain an advantage to keep their lead. We used to run events like this on 22nd_Battle all the time back in native, this "tactic" was not allowed.

---

All the same I had fun overall it would just have been nice if we did not lose every round ya know.

I am considering solutions to the problem.

What if it was possible to have a flag spawn in the middle of the map. Exactly the middle of the map after 4-5 minutes?

Well now, dear "King", no need to exaggerate things, we played like what - 7 rounds total ? Correct me if I'm wrong but i think we charged you 4 out of 7 times........including the first round which was the most unpredictable in terms of the Winner so i wouldn't really say we used the edge camp "heavily" and after "lot of points advantage".
