I was on that battle. I have to say that in overall Greys had equipment worth of more gold, Mercs had really a little amount of melee weapons, only 5 crossbows (no arbalests). Nothing left in the end of the battle. I dont really understand why you say that you have crushed someone. Im not a part of Mercs but I have to say that this was obviously a bad fight shown by Greys.
BTW Jambi, you have issues. Grey order attacked Mercs caravan, that was not an army, just a reinforced caravan.

looks like mercs (at least one who prepared the battle ^^) sucks in reinforcement and equipment management. Who cares that someone had only 300 melee weapons or mercenaries did not come to fight, or it was not enough archers. The ability to account for all, this is the faction skill in the strategus.

Actually it sounded like the person with the main reinforcement gear and troops was asleep is all when the attack happened.  It happens to us all, especially now when strategus is hardly worth playing.  So someone else ran up to reinforce with what little they had.  Hardly something to use to evaluate faction skill.

Hello all.

Morning coffee and some slander on Forums, what a nice start of the day. I think i throw in a few comments.

Mercs vs CBA (Carebear alliance).

Mercs will loose this in the long run, i am quite sure. The mechanics of Strategus will make sure of that. There is no statistically chance that the Mercs can uphold these land when fighting against someone 100 times larger then them self.  That is just the math.

In the mechanics of strategus now that idle players farm gold for clans, big clans like Drz and greys have so many players that there is not a chance in hell we can compete with that. They have spys (read neutrals) all over our territory and other places as well. And when they then are in a huge alliance makes this even worse.

The only way to fight this is to make gold income like strategus 1.0  Play cRPG and get gold to your Strategus character. This would severely hurt the biggest alliances who rely to much on idle members. And smaller more active clans have a chance in Strategus as well. If not that at least make it so that you can transfer cRPG gold to strategus.

This is my personal opinion tho.

Anyway i can promise everybody in Greys and Drz or UIF in general. Mercs will cost you so much gold in the future. Think when its castle siege time ? or when or if Mercs are homeless. Even tho its a impossible mission we are on, we will cost you a lot of gold, time and being a pain in ur ass.

Ditto. The Guild gets dragged into these things and we're sitting here thinking "what the..? Since when did we side with anyone?" We're a group of Caravaners not a bloody warrior band who seemingly rears their ugly heads in every damned war. Sure every now and then we have a few players pop up in a battle but it's for a quick bit of fun or maybe we owe someone a favour for a previous fight or similar.

Your list should explode having more false information than the entire of MI6.

I appreciate the persistent PR of yours, though you and I, same as anyone involved, know that you were able to even  do anything because bug saved you from being crushed and feeded your feeble army with Druzhina's equipment and troops.
