Honestly, I think CTF doesn't work well for this type of game at all.  Maybe it would be more fun for me if I could change my role in the battle at will - but as it is it's just repetitive and boring.  Open-field melee combat with random hordes of enemies is only fun for so long.

I'd have way more fun with it if the maps were focused around 2 castles - with each team having a flag in each. And even though it's impossible to code in - it'd be awesome if cavalry could carry passengers, it would spice up the game mode two-fold.

I suggest that on a successful cap:

- health of all agents is restored (copypaste from duel mode)
- ammo of all agents is restored (same)
- every agent too close to the other team's flag spawn is teleported away to prevent spawnrape
(10-20m?)

I think it would be cool if you could make the type of CTF seen in other games where the flag is in the middle of the map and you take it back to your base. Hopefully less of a camp fest and more fun. You know like UT.

I think maps are the cause to the camping/simplistic bloodbath of rush, die, rush die that CTF currently is.

You should be able to run with it. But the high agi chars may ruin the fun somewhat. I used mine for a while and it was very easy to snatch the flag and peg it as soon as the enemy was distracted.

The flags are essentially uncarriable on horse. You move slower than anyone on foot. It's suicide to attempt it.

It would be great if you made enemy battalion flag carriers visible.

Spawnrape, well depends, you could give credit to the enemy for dominating your base due to poor defending. But yeah multiple spawns in the base are needed.

- Exp gain must be bugged, I had x5 and observed the xp gain for over 10 minutes. Got none.
- Flag should be droppable, making it possible to give it to allies. Currently only way to do it is to tk or carrier make suicide.

make spawnrape bannable it completly destroys the fun for me

its lame as fuck to spawn and get killed instantly by 10 flamberge wielding tards

even admins are doing it, fix it please.

Maybe as an alternative you get a 3~ athletics penalty instead. You could still have a build specializing in flag capping, but it wouldn't be impossible to kill you after you picked up the flag. Besides, adding more weight to someone in plate armor is just going to make it impossible for armored guys to ever cap a flag. If they have 0-4 athletics, they shouldn't get completely dicked over for it by forcing twice as much weight on them. Better to just have them at the minimum 0 athletics, it's already hard enough to cap a flag with plate and low athletics in a decently populated server.

The mod is too broken to be enjoyable at all for me. Just spawnraping, camping the hill and other glitchy stuff.

RIGHT!!!!!!!

THIS MODE IS HORRIBLE. :...(

It can take forever to cap flags which seemingly drives upkeep into the roof. I started out with 7k and 45min later I have a Stubborn Courser, Bent Arbalest, Rusty Rus Scale Armor, Crude Plate Mittens and 229 gold...

Worst part is I used the Arbalest for 1 death and coped upkeep same for the Courser, Rus Scale Armor and Plate Mittens and that isn't internet truth inflation I literately used all of those items ones.

For the first 40min the other team caped 4 flags score being 4-0. Then they caped 3 flags in the first 15min and then we had a massive stale mate where both teams caped the flag and then hide while the other teams tried to hunt down the flag carriers, which was both fun and infuriating mostly because it was delaying the amount of time before the next tick and we lost, again.

Also the timer ran down to 0 and we couldn't figure out if we were being payed by flag caps or in 1min increments. Which is it?

Then we caped and screwed them out of their x5, we then promptly lost our x2 I lost more than all the gold I had and I rage quit.

We need King of the hill. Much better game mode for this game. First to 3 and in a stale mate have 1min of sudden death. No clear winner after 6min the team with the most caps wins.

Such mod requires a lot of teamplay. It can be fun for clan wars, but not for public full of rambos. Unfortunately.
