But to be honest, Rouncey is a really good horse for this price. But it falls dead very fast, a view bad arrows and you're riding a dead horse.

IMO the armored horses are way too fast, sometimes they can even outrun a Rouncey. Thats stupid.

but i have to agree with the destrier its a very good value for its riding skill. just need to look at the marketplace : People are selling arabian and courser and every wannabe riders and their mums are looking for destrier.
Same goes for cata horse, sold a lot and heavy warhorse, cant be fiund on the market

And please remove Sumpter Horse. Its a complete bullshit horse, not worth anything. It might be of some use it it gets faster and only half the HP it has now. But at current stats its just as useless as a donkey on the battlefield.

i guess one could swap rouncey and palfrey prices.  however the riding balance on the other horses is fair,  the arabian is the best horse out there,  and the destrier is only so sought after  because lower level players dont want to sacrifice all their infantry skills to ride a good level 6 horse.  by making the destrier 6,  you would force any lower level men to either be highly specialized or use low tier horses.  this would be sad as it would lessen the fun for a lot of players.

note that i would only profit form your suggestion,  so this is truly my opinion and not some self concerned bullshit.

Arabian being 7 riding is so woeful :/
I *could* understand 6 riding, so as to make it a specialist horse (that can do more than just run to death in a straight line, but dies in 1-2 hits from ranged, being even more frail than, say, rouncey), but, really, making it the item with the highest difficulty in the game? It really wasn't that good, not even close...
I have a +1 arabian from before this change, was considering selling it back then, regret i didn't. No way i'm getting 7 riding for it, that would just be masochistic.

I think the high difficulty horses are that way simply to restrict horse archers from using them easily. Melee cav have don't have much problem investing those points into riding, but horse archers do. So I think the idea is that difficultly levels really only affect horse archers.

But since those same horses are so weak, very few melee cav are going to bother with them. Who cares how maneuverable they are if they get taken down in 1 shot? Only horse archers would really like them because they can stay away from archers and use the maneuvering to evade cav.


For melee cav players, the restriction is more about upkeep costs than attribute point requirements. They don't often take the armored horses because they are unaffordable.

I think people take destriers because they have the most armor of the unarmored horses, but at one third less cost than the cheapest armored horse. I wish my champion courser was a destrier just because it'd be only slightly more expensive than the courser, but still wouldn't cause me to lose money like the the armored horses would. And right now, all that really matters for me in melee horse selection is the ability to not get owned by archers in 5 seconds.

Destrier with 5 riding skill is slow (even champ. ) and people mostly go for a courser if they go above 5 riding, so imo there's no problem in destrier having 5 difficulty. Arabian and courser should have 6 imo.

Arabian requiring a riding skill of six was nice, despite being a very fun horse, they were/are the "paper fighters" and die very quickly.
