Defending AI villages should give a lot more xp, the solution is very simple.

In 1.0 its worked excellent stimulate and yes water was waterer,sky was skier,grass was grasser...

Maybe a 6x is too much? How about a multiplier that increases every set time interval, like 3 minutes?

Not sure if my idea would be much different though.

Could also add a bonus for winning the batle

Seems like a Good Idea to me it would incourage more clanless ppl to fight against you in battles as well instead of always  your enimys

Do it! I got around 5200 XP for the battle yesterday which lasted 30-40 minutes. For the XP it's really not worth it. And you don't get any money too.
The logic of war seems to be that if a belligerent can fight he will fight.
