Because it is OP. There's one guy on EU who use it atm, he wasn't able to kill me as: archer, 2h, polearmer, xbow and lancer. But then he made shielder char and started using that pirate sabre called grosse messer. He's pain in the ass to kill and his k/d is better than ever. Grosse messer and cleaver are among the best 1h weapons, grosse messer is especially annoying.

Why the heck did Tunic over mail just get buffed? Now everybody is going to use it because it's 9.5 weight but gives 38 body armor! So basically the +3 tunic over mail is the same as before because the looms got nerfed but the beginning body armor got buffed.

grosse messer is a medieval german peasant utility knife, not a pirates sabre.  Get yo shit straight before you insult a amazing weapon

Yeah, its strange that it has worse stats now than the langes messer, which has the additional benefit of being usable as a 2hander.

As somebody with +3 plated mittens and +3 heraldic mail, I have to say that this patch is pretty awesome.

Armor looms were long overdue for a nerf.

Langes is straight sword and grosse is curved which is huge advantage in this game.

Mail internal balance need to be fixed, but otherwise armor loom nerf is welcome.
