Happy hour (No upkeep for a day/hour)

I was thinking about how much it sucks losing alot of money just to show off your best armor and weapons.

So i thought it would be cool to have a certain time each day or just 1 day a week where there is no upkeep cost.

This would make the game fun as everyone would throw on the best of the best armor and everyone would be riding plated chargers ect.

Would add a bit of variation and "spice" to the game, which it lacks D:

I think you would need to modify it so you do not gain ANY money while playing during this time, or else it would turn into a 'daily' money earning quest that zombifies the populace.  I've seen the negative effect of 'dailies' in a few other games, its not pretty.


I do like the idea though.  Make it like your nighttime in Strat and you can only change it once a week or month or something.

If it sucks so much, don't do it? Most people don't seem to have a problem showing off their best gear for a few rounds and then paying for it.

Thats the people who have like 200k+ with everything they needed bought. I try out new classes constantly and new playstyles on new characters and this would be a nice way to change the game from 10%tincan/charger 30% light horse 60% medium/light armour to tincans plated chargers arbalests longbows, would be hell of a fun thing to do.

And yeah remove earning gold too.

Maybe make it an admin activated event? *Chads turns on happy hour! No upkeep! YAY! But no gold is earned during this hour of gameplay.*

Or make it a voteable option.

When you think about it it's not like it can be abused, you are earning no gold but paying no upkeep. they cancel each other out to balance it.

I like this idea, but really all that needs to be done is have a popular server be disconnected.  That way no gold/xp/upkeep, but you have all your same items.

If you do not give gold at ticks, you are punishing players that have agi builds would not benefit from wearing plate or dont ride horses. In addition to that, without gold, this really is not an advantage, since you can afford to wear full plate and use a top tier weapon and break even at a 3x.

You might want to allow each region to have their own happy hour (NA, EU, AUS, etc) so everyone has timely access. Otherwise this sounds like OK to try.

Bust out some STF tincan builds or warhorse builds?

And yeah have it set to like 6-7pm for each reigion. So that way people are finished work students finished school and they can play during happy hour
