This would actually make +1 looms far more coveted than they currently are. My fear is that they might start disappearing from the market by people who want to use them for heirlooming, which would leave poor newbs who finally saved up 300K just to have a +1 out of luck. However, with the builds I see most commonly, by the time they save up 300K, they would likely already be level 31.

I was about to point out that they could just ask you to put up however much money for the item you want and wait a few hours or so just to make sure you're not going to quickly take it down all of a sudden. But then I remembered that the dev team still hasn't implemented the incredibly common sense method of allowing people to offer gold for items.

That's true but I doubt many people would do it. And I doubt many people would be fooled.

hmm pretty good idea right  now almost nobody is interested in +1 items.
but how about this u wil need 2 +1 1handers to get an +2 1hander,same for polearms and 2handers.
would be weird that u can fuse an steel pick and a long spear into a german.

Allow people to "smelt" two heirloomed items of the exact same base item together and create a better item.
