Healing, bandaging, potions?

Has anyone brought up a healing idea? be it healing tents, health potion or elixir, or maybe even introducing new skills or a build based on healing your team.

Healing tents- I know i have heard of these healing tents in a diff mod. but if we could add these for a contruction sort of item would be very beneficial for a team. maybe there would be a healing tent at both spawn sites or it could even dissapear after half the round time limit.

Potions- This could be cheap or expensive and heal more or less depending on price obviously. and we can regulate this by allowing one potion per slot, so people can't just spam them.

Bandage or heal skill- This would add an entirely new skill ! this would make character builds even more diverse and fun. to use the skill the player needs bandages equiped or a sewing kit, etc. and maybe is alloted a certain amount like arrows or throwing daggers. imagine 2H/medic or archer/clerics running around.

lemme know what you guys all think about this! i dont think it would ruin fighting balance. in fact i think it would be a challenge by losing PS or WM skills to pickup sum healing skills. More depth to this already awsome game !

Dislike,
you die or you survive, i think healing would break the balance extremely,
normally you have archers on the walls who injure many ppl and kill some of them, so the infantry has it easier.
I think the game would loose offensive potential because everyone is hiding and healing up before engaging.

Knights dont need medicine! You live or you die.

rediculous

this isnt diablo or wow.  its an action game.

I cant imagine having to beat down Wallace with his 35 F'ing str and just have him use a healing potion and continue to beat the dogshit out of everything in his path.

The game presents enough difficulties as is.

well obviously bandages would help you survive.

break the balance extremely? hardly...

so if an archer shoots a guy to half health he has no choice but to run off and die? sounds like archer whine.

I think the game would loose offensive potential because everyone is hiding and healing up before engaging.
you start with full health...why would one heal their full health before engaging????

andddddddd why wouldnt knights need medicine??? esp if they are in the thick of shit getting cut, shot, and pounded...

ok.  so as not to seem like a troll chocolate chip cookie here:

the ideas of bandages and healing could be interesting if....
you cant use it on yourself, you can only help others.  The last man standing WILL die
It would take as long to apply a bandage to someone as say.... opening a gate on siege/ using a health kit in L4D
each bandage only heals a specific amout of damage, not a percentage (ie +10 +20 +30 depending on the type of bandage and your skill/wpf in healing)
you can only carry a very limited amount. like 2 or 3 bandages per roll.  and they take up a weapons slot

yes! they could take a few seconds to apply, needs a skill point to speed up? AND take a weapon slot. so its a bit dangerous in the open field.

cant use on yourself sounds like a nice idea too! like i said lets tweak it around and throw it at chadz

what server? what map?

any server, any map, you have to build them with the construction site under throwing.

or maybe its only siege, but i have definitely seen them on the siege server (more time to be effective)

Yep, you place a construction site, activate it with F until it's set for healing tent, then add construction material (fire it on the construction site). Make sure you are alone at the site or some moron will switch the healing tent selection before you can add material, and the site will be fucked up.

A healing tent takes 25 construction material to build, so better get some buddies with material, too, or you will never construct it in time.

The tent actually works quite well, the only problem is it's too easily destroyed.

It works in battle. We've build one. Unfortunately some lamers think "it's uncool" or something and then proceed to tk it once its complete.
Why is everybody telling me to think? I think, I just don't show it.
