Would anyone be interested in joining a clan with the theme of late renaissanc onwards, multinational, dedicated crossbowmen and siege engineers? For example a mercenary guild that launches deadly crossbow volleys, builds defenses and siege machines, and uses these not only in battle, but in Strategus as a specialised force? Gonna setup a poll, if you are more than interested in joining, say so. I won't even bother if I don't have interest. Also trolls feel free to give me free bumps.

I doubt the interest would be that big. Probably would be a couple of players who would like to join but reaching a members roster over 10 people would be something i doubt.

On a side note how come there's no Archery/Ranged only clan? I know there used to be Rangers but they merged forces with Wolves i believe.

Would've been wicked back in the day with a clan with only archers and everyone standing in a line next to eachother firing volleys at the enemies.

Shame really, I thought there would be more interest, but maybe all the people who really enjoy being a crossbowman are hiding their true feelings due to the attitude towards crossbowmen in the game.

I'm thinking firing squads, 3-man mobile pavise tactics, ammo-carrying peasants, extreme weapon rack utilisation, specialised construction teams, in-demand siege constructors for strategus. I can dream though.

Apparently there is a viable cure for cancer, it's just that pharmaceutical companies don't think they'll profit from it, so they aren't deploying it.

No, actually I haven't played it yet, but I've heard good things about it. How does it compare to cRPG?

Bah I guess I'll have to start a formal-ish thing with actual guidelines to get any kind of response. Or maybe change my avatar to something less contentious :P

Your avatar is so suave though! <3
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

DL Knows Siege tactics well, good man!

Though our Crossbow unit consists of....1 man.(And I'll let you guess who)

I gotta relearn the new Catapults. The ammo being needed now means you need a team of two to engineer catapults. A gunner, and a...Targeting chief(?). Though one man can do it, but it'll be hard with the new ammo restrictions.

I've made it my goal to try to make a catapult in battle, where the ammo is unlimited. And kill someone with it.
