Once one of the most numerous and prosperous peoples of Calradia, the Celts spread from the western seaboard almost as far as the steppes in the east. They were a proud warrior people who were steeped in a mystical pagan religion of many gods.
Never unified, they organised themselves into small kingdoms called Túath. These were ruled over by the most powerful family groups who often boasted the greatest warriors, finest musicians , the most proficient poets and most arcane druids. Women held an unusualy important place in this society and it was not unheard of for them to hold positions which in other cultures would be exclusivly held by men.
Over time, as the Calrad Empire became more powerful the celts all but disappeared on the mainland, reduced to a few scattered and tiny enclaves. Over the seas however, on a chain of islands shrouded in mystery known as the Hibernic Isles they flourished for many centuries.
Their legends told of the great land of their birth, of its splendour and riches and many an adventerous young mind longed to set foot on its shores again. Over time, there arose a significant sub-section of the celtic communites who supported a return to Calradia. One man came to be the catalyst that would galvanise his people into their heroic return to their birthright. From each corner of the Hibernic isles, great champions aswell as aspiring warriors flocked to his banner. He forged a new Túath, borne out of a lust for war and fresh conquests, a túath that would unite all of his disparate peoples in the old world.
He is BalorBoru and they are the Túath na nGael.

Membership Classified
(All King ranks are equal)
You gain a rank every time you participate in a Clan event, such as an RP event or Strat Clan battle. First two ranks are meat shields and enemy harassers(to prove you can RP and turn up for scheduled events), then two more ranks in your chosen style to show you can work with the Lords of the realm and take direction in combat. After proving this and attaining four promotions you become a Lord, answerable only to Kings. You also gain the right to command the lower ranks in battle and may duel other Lords in single combat for right to rule(be king/high-king) and to settle disputes(like if you want command of a particular troop in battle).
