Is ranged ruining your fun? (poll)

Not trolling. I have it much easier doing well with a 2H compared to the ones I mentioned. If I want to play an easy class, I play 2H or polearm (lancer goes under polearm too). I didn't say that 2H is easier to master, but it's easier once you've got the hang of it, compared to the others I mentioned.

Also, Gorath. Don't remove things from a sentence when quoting. Lancing is easier than 2H, but 1H cav isn't

If you've ever seen Gurni or for that matter a lot of other 2 handers who've classed as an archer in the past couple of weeks (Chase for example) then you'll know what they mean by fighting with a 2 hander. Of course, if you're NA, you're excused.

With regards to this, as i've said many many many times before, i've played archer for a long time and nothing else. I can manual block quite effectively but attacking back is not my strong point, I find dueling a hell of a lot easier than ganking people because I am used to being at the back of battles picking off targets or firing into melee in order to save allies who're getting beat on.
I am in honesty, quite a shocking melee player and when I attack back it normally consists of me swinging once and diving back behind a block or, if the enemy is on the back foot, spamming right swing until the guy gives up blocking or tries to attack back, in which case I bounce and die

Ranged is, unfortunately a necessary part of the game that allows people to have more choice than to jump into a big mass of bodies and die hopelessly maybe killing one or two people if you're lucky and I don't quite see the point in any of these threads about ruining peoples fun. I'm 99.99% sure that the devs will keep all classes being playable on the main servers and will be influenced by whine of the more melee based players because the majority of the community are said melee players. Keep the masses happy, and i'm fine with that as long as i'm still raged at.

For how much hours have you played this game? When you have 500 hours into this game, yes 2h is pretty easy. Thats because you already know how battle works and probably can block. As a beginner 2h is hard.

This game has such a great combat system that its out of the question for me to become a ranged or cavalry player, well atleast not for long. When I die in a melee fight I blame myself. I fucked up and I died because of it. When I get killed by cav or ranged its mostly just bad luck that they got you. I can't blame myself so I blame the class.

Its just so much more annoying to get killed by a pewpew on a roof or a prodprod on a horse.

Ranged is fine though as soon as they remove the ladders

I hate you approaching me as an archer, For some reason, I always miss you, while I usually put enough arrows in everyone else. Master of dodging, I guess.

Since my gaming rig crashed and I may never be able to get it fixed and come back to this game:  I say give all the whiners what they want; Go ahead and remove ranged, take away ladders, roofs, anything that makes it different and fun. Fuck the game up, make it boring as hell. Screw it, I won't be back anyway. The crybabies shall inherit the earth, right?

Nope, because i bring a shield for cover, and also 6 IF absorbs the damage. Ranged is imo balanced atm. On another note: Cav ruins my fun.

Edit: All those who answeared yes are probably cav or people who doesnt want to counter archers and then think its the archers fault they die :tf:
