Although I promised myself to not pay attention to your posts again, I have to react, this is my thread.
It is not easy at all to deal with the spawnrape cav. Most maps have a centered village, with quite a walk until you reach any cover. When you spawn late and the spawnrape cav squad is upon you, you will have to walk 50+ meters with nothing than your own weapon to protect you from multiple cav opponents. One bumps you, the other lances, youre dead. You block one, the other lances, youre dead. You are virtually always dead, except on those rare occasions that friendly cav stop spawnraping the other team and help you out.
Meh that's why I spawn in with an anti-cav weapon and use whatever obstacles I can if I spawn late. Sometimes you get raped, sometimes they shy away from you and hell sometimes if you are good enough you can do some real damage to them. I play my inf alts regularly enough that I quite often spawn late if I've joined a round late or have been away from the comp a second and I have 0 issue with it.
Maybe though that's because I also enjoy shooting cav attacking spawns + attacking spawns myself. It's part of my main HA job. So I'm not bothered at all by it if it happens to me on foot because I do it myself. As would pretty much any cav given the chance.
I just think many anti cav players should put maybe 2 generations worth into a cav build. I played 2 gens as a foot archer. I have a shielder, 2h and longbowmen alt. If you play a mix of all builds then your understanding of things changes completely. I used to bitch about 2h but now I have no real issue with them. Cav can piss me off majorly when I'm on foot. But I never let it get to me because I know if I just switched to my HA, I'd be doing the same thing. It's the nature of the build and no matter how you change it, it always will be.
The only class I still think needs a bit of nerf is xbow because it's piss easy to shoot them still with 0 wpf. I do it with my HA on siege and can hit stuff easily. But otherwise I am now very happy with each class because I've played quite a few of them and understand where each is coming from.
The only way you can stop it is to turn spawns into fortresses of doom for cav. But then open spawns are often handy because they are the few areas that cav have space to run around in. Otherwise it's all fences and buildings.
