No, real religion leads to too much hostility, i myself am not religious and wouldn't be involved in some kind of Christian movement, this is calradia, not the real world.

This is not something that can just be roleplayed if you want it to mean anything. Not that I see it to be much more than doing this:

1) Make a religion, with associated goals, rules and suchlike. These could be various, like not being allowed to annihilate fellow member states, offering the assistance and protection of member states forces in wars against "heretics" and so on. Or even providing more general help in any matter of things.

2) Declare yourself the "pope".

3) Find willing supporters, give them a say in the running of things.

4) Crusade fools and force them to convert then give them a say in the running of things too, or take over the land and install a faction there who does want to support the papacy.

---

The only hard bit is making it so people actually want to join, so there needs to be benefits to being a member of this group. However if done right and if the papacy has sufficient sway within powerful member states then it could be very beneficial to join. The hardest thing is getting to that point as until such a group has power and influence there is very little reason to join it.

Really it is just a large semi-alliance with full autonomy within member states likely to help one another but not forced to, whom must follow certain rules regarding how you act amongst and against one another to further the causes of the papacy.

It could be interesting, if done right, not that I plan on joining :)

Implementation of true religion in our game is definitely ruled out. I do not want to risk a row and offend someone's religious feelings. You can be inspired by the true religions, but all names must be fictitious. Geographically Calradia does not resemble any real continent, and that's good. Culturally, it only resembles the real world, mixing historical  with the fiction concepts (Sarranid, Khergit vs. Milanese, Byzantion Helmet). That should be with the religion, because we do not want stupid misunderstandings. In my view, this is the end of the topic. You have to keep the convention.

Write your suggestions for your faction, and we'll see where this leads and what it implies.
For example: Swadian's confesion of West Calradian Church, with the episcopate in Praven, subordinate directly under the Pope, the head of the First Calradian Church - for Grey Order.
(This is just an example, then we will match the overall concept. Later I'll ask someone who knows English very well, so write this nicely.)

Slavic paganism hmm... This concept sounds cool for me. I have to think about what I want  :?  Waiting for developments. I just have a problem with the fact that paganism had no orders  :(

Bringing real religion into video games is about 100% a terrible idea.  Maybe 110%.

I don't think there actually are more than a few percent of religious people on these boards.
Meaning lies as much
in the mind of the reader
as in the Haiku.
