I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.

I will only accept a Pope called Pope Hilarius (Yes, there actually was one) Which is pretty easy, cause all popes do a full rename of themselves when chosen, so the first to name himself Paus Hilarius has my unconditional support.

Thats a good idea. Maybe we should chose some fiefs on strategus and say, if one faction is controlling one of this chosen fiefs, they will get a Cardinal there. This Cardinals can vote the pope. Of course only the factions, who are agreeing with the pope-system.
