Heirloom stones

I think the game would be improved  immensely if stones could be heirloomed. There are many things that could be done to improve a throwing stone. I could be made sharper, be better balanced for throwing. Perhaps one could find stones with hard gems in them. But for the sake of peasants everywhere, please make stones heirloomable.

What kind of poll is that, i can't vote "No" .

Not that i especially want to, but i like to have the choice.
Heirlooming stones would be "fine", if they don't get too much of a boost.
Anyway, at the moment, some people are using it just for the lulz, and actually getting kills with it with PT8 or more, quite easily.
It's sad that the stone throwers are peasants killers, though.

I just want stones to get the same kind of boost other throwing weapons get. And I've seen damaged knights go down to high powered stones, they kill more than just peasants.

+1, stones with PT8+ are actually lulzy AND efficient. Lapidating a tincan to death is just priceless.

Aye why not.

Could be Stones > Large bag of stones > Heavy stones (can knock down) > Large bag of heavy stones.

If someone wants to waist retirements, why not :)

Last heirloom should be "Boulder" and should get a knockdown bonus if the user also has the Boulder-on-a-stick, and give a special "Troll" Achievement :P

DON'T

ask chadz for a sling, and heirloom THAT!

sling->Granite sling->sharp granite sling->large bag of sharpened granite sling

or something, but maybe make the sling apart, as a weapon itself, and the stones as ammo, the sling would add damage and range

stones->granite stones->sharpened grantite stones->large bag of sharpened grantite stones

A sling, or any other dynamic weapon would require a ton of coding to implement. Why do you think native doesn't have any flails in it?

I dont think you have ment GoGoPowerThrow - He kills everyone with his stones from miles away. Please don't give him masterwork stones ( or what ever they are called)

If he kills you with stones, he's doing it for the lawls. Its much easier to use the more powerful weapons with a power thrower. This is coming from a former thrower.

He's doing it because stones are incredibly accurate with high power throw and less WPF than any other throwing weapon.  Also the incredible amount of ammo you get with stones also makes them highly attractive to people.

They are also as you said highly amusing but they are also a perfectly viable choice.

Look at merry and pippin, they own like 3 or 4 Uruks with stones!

Is true, if I have a char with NO ranged, Ill definetly carry a least one stack of stones: Never know when you've got a long corridor to run up, with an archer at the end: Brain him with a stone, 0 wpf and 0 PT, but headshot on archers usually stuns, also when an archer tries his runnyshooty bunny escape, stone him in the back, slows him down nicely.

EDIT: Forgot, stones also have ultraspam Melee mode, allowing you to club people to death, very satisfying....

Honeslty first i liked the idea of people being able to heirloom stones. But when you think about it they are already kinda OP. If a high enough level can kill or significantly damage anyone on the battlefield with the cheapest weapon, then it's to good
And should defiantly not be able to heirloom  8-)
