I just realized how boring the game gets at 31

I used to play this game all the time because I would always retire, always look forward to progressing a character after retiring and just having fun doing it.

So I decide to stop retiring and set focus on a build. Hit 31 and that nice wall of 9 million xp is kinda like... Oh.... Fuck that. I need to find some way to motivate me to play :/

It also really makes me realize how much more fun old crpg was all that was wrong with it was the WPF transfer to each generation.

I'd disagree. I've got everything I want heir loomed on my HA char now (except arrows but cba to do those really), and I love being at level 30 and just enjoying my full build for the fun. There's no real need for any crazy goals or achievements if you just enjoy playing. Also try some alts?

It just feels like I am playing native but stuck with one class to choose from, and one class I can change every week.

That's why I decided to leave my HA build now, seeing as it's finished, and use it just for strat/playing with GK when they are on. Otherwise I now play with my alts, so I have a nice choice between my xbow, shielder and 2h atm and give myself goals to achieve with them. I can see where you are coming from, but for me the solution is the alts, and I play with my HA for fun when I know it is fun, rather than grinding.

Just delete your main and start a new skip the fun level 30 char every week. Thats what I did.

For me the game doesn't get fun until I hit 31.  Actually I've spent so long at 32 for different builds that I need to be level 32 now.  Retirement is pointless now because of the auction house, and I like that.

Game is more about fighting for me as opposed to getting sweet purpz.

The heirlooms cost so much.. I barely have 100k, let alone millions for buying stuff there.

I wonder how much cash these players who say that the marketplace is awesome are sitting on. It's just.. insane, like in some MMORPG, where money actually means next to nothing, and items are horribly priced and are selling for millions.

I mean getting money for ONE heirloom point would take ages. Let alone MW-ing something via the market. It's just crazy.

Odd, I am enjoying it more then ever with never retiring. Of course, I also have more then a dozen alts to rotate through if bored.

those started to buy looms and sell them for more gold.
overtime a few people got a massive amount of money and looms which are now sold to prices only those people can afford.
