We are currently considering a 4th loom level that you can get by retiring at level 33.

So you give us a 4th loomlvl and after 2-3 months nerf looms so 4th is what now is 3rd?

Keep the looms as it is ,besides we dont need 4th loom level and do something with that useless grind from 1 to 30 and make the retirement on level 32 instead of 31.

This is my first Deus Ex game I have played and I am loving it so far, I think after this I am going to back track through the series

1st one set the tone for atmospheric play and was a cool story, I still play it once a year or so (especially since I modded the PC version with the PS2 soundtrack and music which uses a real orchestra, and also modded it with the better cutscenes). 2nd one is... controversal compared to the first. Opinions radically vary on it unlike the 1st one.

Anywho, I do highly recommend taking a break from cRPG to avoid total burnout. I myself shoudl be getting my DE:HR Augmented soon in the mail, then I too shall lose myself!

Please no. Absolutely terrible idea. This is just going to make new people feel even more behind, however "rare" you think they're going to be, day 1 you're probably looking at having 20 of them, and that's if it came out tomorrow. Give people time to prepare for this and you're going to have a hell of a lot more than that. Meanwhile it increases the difficulty of balancing items.

As to the OP, I agree. Less on the point of level 31 being boring and more about c-rpg as a whole. Not going to get into details on this here, don't want to take over this thread but simply adding populated(Meaning don't give people an incentive to play OTHER modes by not giving xp/gold to these servers) FFA or TDM(Unlike Battle, this actually has respawns) servers would renew interest in c-rpg for quite a few people that I know.

dumb idea is dumb, chadz. but seeing as you hate us in reality we know your gonna do it, thus furthering the gap between new and old players. at least we all had fun times when retiring was about money and a time limit, and to me seemed like the most balanced and fun crpg yet. now those days are nothing but a mental picture in a mental scrap book in my mental attic, never to be seen again

I like the idea, some people would really like this (though it should be the equivalent advantage of the first 3 heirlooms combined for it to make sense with the 4 retirement's worth of xp).  I personally wont do it because I'm more interested in Strategus, but I look forward to offering a million gold and a MW item for 1 quad-loomed horn/rus/long bow or 1 quad-loomed normal/barbed/tatar arrows.
