Posted this in the mods thread, but would like to get personal feedback so it would be better to post it here.

1/8/2012 Update : Remade pack for new cRPG update. Made lower resource textures. Also sound modification has a huge over-haul compared to the old one. The sound quality is way better but cutting the file down by atleast 50% to ease the load. The sound modification's quality is barely noticeable at all compared to the original. It can help with the freezing screen, loads, and the round-start lag.

Patch (Install after main) - 1/13/2012 http://www.mediafire.com/?s4u5he3rn9z57nh - To install just overwrite textures, should fix transparency.

It actually does work wonders...
On a ridiculously under-powered system (e350 dual core 1.6 ghz, 4 gb ddr3 1333 ram - 512 mb of the ram for the onboard gpu. mainboard) that manages to run a even more ridiculous config (Ubuntu 11.04, Ubuntu Classic Session, Wine) this is actually the first time I get playable framerates - something that didnt happen with the old low-res pack.

About 15-35 fps @ 1024x768, might be better on smaller servers (thats on eu2 with 100 guys)
