Um, except

1) DX7 makes swords hard to see
2) M&B isn't a FPS, therefore glow pack, wallhack etc etc are pretty much useless

I find that wallhack would be very useful, especially for spotting backstabbing cavalry.

Make enemies glow = epic for ranged.

This is awesome.  My laptop can now actually play when the server fills up.  And yes, Leshma has a point, giving framerates of over 20 to people used to fighting at 15-18 is a bit...wait, no, can't find the point.

My PC can run most maps on 1680x1050, full details, 2x AA, Movie WB with at least 25 fps at any time, most of the time over 60 except on some problematic maps.

I can't imagine what you go through with 20-25 fps, personally I wouldn't play at all if I had 15-18 fps on average.

My PC is old and worth around 150 euros tops. It has 4850 Radeon which I bought for 30 euros (2 years old).

Laptops with integrated Intel graphics aren't made for gaming, you can play Zynga games and Windows games but nothing else.

Edit: Also 150 euros in my country is 50% of average monthly salary. In your is probably 1/10 or 1/15 of your monthly salary. Don't be a cheapo, buy a proper PC.

Epic stuff Spleen. Playing game with more than 100 people on server on Brazos netbook, via Wine on Linux. You couldn't make it any more complicated than that :D

That's no netbook, it's my low-power "almost always on" Media PC.
btw more a proof of concept tbh... just tried it with xfce on a 40 slot battle server: 40+ fps
Guess it's just nice to know I dont have to turn on my Main Rig (Core i5 2500k/8 GB Ram/GTX 560 Ti 2 GB) to flame ppl ingame, yknow - especially for my energy bill  :D

I find that wallhack would be very useful, especially for spotting backstabbing cavalry.

Make enemies glow = epic for ranged.

You need to get your eyes checked if you have trouble finding targets as ranged without glow. It's not the same at all as FPS. In FPS games people aren't running all around just waiting to be shot. In M&B they are. Anything like that is useless.

cRPG Sound Optimization

http://www.mediafire.com/?h5i0v62e8qguubk

This download link provides an optimization to sounds. It makes sound files smaller and turns them into WAVs. With OGG files it presents a buffer error most common for people using soundcards on their motherboard. This should help with the round load times and such.
Does this fix fix the ridiculous amounts of freezes I get, someone suggested that it had to do with soundtypes converting. These freezes make me miss blocks or the worse ones make me die without me even seeing what happened. Would be awesome if those could be gone.

For me it fixed the round start problems, I can instantly spawn now, after installing the new sound fix.

Only differences I noticed is that the sounds sound a bit different, but it's okay. Also there is no sound when someone bounces, but that's alright too, there is sound if you deal damage, so who cares.

Least the stop/lag issue is fixed now at round starts.

Cheers Socrates.

I do not personally need to use this mod but people with FPS issues are reporting a vast improvement while using this mod.

Very nice. I like the sound optimization except for the lack of a shield blocking sound. Thanks for this.
