Like the Byzantine/Romans theme better than Samurai's. Byzantine era is quite big though and their military underwent a lot of changes, so there's pretty much free pick of playing style and want you want to do if you're staying true to your theme.

This was considered as one of the versions , but we've decided that there's already too many "imperial" looking banners in the game (specially eagles) + the one we're currently using still looks good .

P.S. Many people think that purple is ermm... kinda gay =).

I just remember Byzantium color purple from medieval total war and medieval II total war. That is why I prefered purple.
But you are right. There are many trolls(  ) in last days and they would call purple color bad.
