I've been playing a pure archer for a little while now (Lv27 and change) and I find it absolutely ridiculous that even a STR platemy old friend can
easily matrix-dodge my arrows at short range. Arrow velocity was over-nerfed, there is no denying that at this point. I just want a reasonable chance to be able to hit an
aware player at short range without praying that he/she steps into it; which is how it works now. If I hit an aware enemy at close range now it is more dumb luck than anything. Archers shouldn't have to rely on cheap-shotting preoccupied enemies for the lion's share of their contributions.
Arrows don't do that much damage, why do they need to be so easily avoidable too?
[I'm talking about short range and not point-blank range just to be clear. Also, archer/ranged isn't my main: A shieldless two-hander is.]
3. Swing speed doesn't increase from wpf? I thought it did but I could be wrong.
WPF does increase swing speed of melee weapons. It is very noticeable as an archer running around with 1WPF in 1h/2h when you are used to playing your two-hander and polearm characters. Even my 99-speed mace is slow. It also seems to effect the speed at which you can go from attack to parry and parry to attack.
