That thing makes you look really obese.
Actually is the only plate armor ingame that looks realistic, every plate armor made you look obese, since they left a space between you and the armor itself. Mosty coz while an armor will stop many "killing things", many of these actually pierced the armor, just not enough to make contact with flesh, or just not enough to make nasty wounds. So that obese look its what really saves your life. The other armors look cool, but they are "too flat". Btw my favourite item ingame is the longsword....even if im 1hander...
