It does have a lot of flaws indeed. The horrible interface would be enough to not play this game on Pc.
But it has an awesome athmosphere, skyrim just have character and an adventure feeling. The attention to details everywhere, the huge world with so many things to do.
I also approve the berthseda choise to use their old graphic engine, and can't understand why game reviewers are punishing them for this. Who cares if they don't use the frosbite engine and if their textures are not the highest res possible.
The game is visually amazing, you can really see details everywhere, they managed to create a huge and vibrant world that doesn't feel hollow like oblivion. It's also stable, you can play it with the old pc or even laptops without troubles. And, more importantly, they used their time actually doing the game instead of coding a new fancy graphic engine...
Also, flying skill, I'd love that 
Well you can always type TCL in the console and pretend u are using morrowind levitation spell
Most of the current issues will be dealt easily with mods i guess. But my major concern is the combat system. Bad Ia, pathfinding issue and pointless hack and slash feeling. I wanted to do a battlemage but meh i guess i'll just do a pure mage and then i'll trying an assassin.
