It's not a game, it's a beta mod...

Technically it is a Beta Mod of a Game, thus both.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

Ok ToD, all i want to say is that devs team is not blizzard team so he should stop arguing just like he pays a fee to play.

as far as i agree with you, i just HAVE to ask this: if you want to play something else every day, why not to play native? :D but yeah, there should be two options, one with 1week cooldown for guys with more chars, the second sould be without any limit, just as before, but you have to have only one char at the account, just as before, hm? Please, please, implement this :(

... is that even a question? Why does anyone play cRPG over native?

I retired once and it was enough for me. It isn't worth the time and effort unless you do it 6 times and get a huge stockpile of gold to get totally loomed out, which STILL only makes you slightly better than anyone else your skill level.

can't do this. There would be people who would tailor their builds to whatever their clan needed for any strategus battle on any given day. This is the whole point in having a main, and having the cooldown.

*drum roll* .... restrict players like me from joining strategus, I don't care anyways! I just play battle, siege and duel for a bit, nor do I participate in clan organization. If you got one char only who is STF, lock them out of strategus battles and let them dick around in the derp servers changing their build as they will.. you only get 10k anyways.

The system is well and good for hardcore players but is shafting the more casual gamers quite a bit

Ah casual gamers.  The blight of gaming quality since time immemorable.
And I should be nice or polite to anyone.... why exactly?

Cool so I deleted months worth of characters with multiple heirlooms so I could play a different build every few days, now it turns out I didn't need to delete them and I also have to wait a week if I get bored right away or mess up the build?

chadz sometimes I really feel like every thing you do is to spite me. Bring back old ladders.

Same.

Why not just put the cooldown on the "Make character Main" instead of the actual STF killing the fun of people who doesn't give a fuck about strategus but have a small attention span such as myself?

because I don't have a timestamp for that :P

but you got a point, this sounds like a somewhat acceptable solution.

this is the same for tailoring builds id say, if you have cooldown on making main, what will stop you from making new main for every battle, depending on the needs? Not like you will have enough pop. to have battles like every day or so. (correct me if i am wrong, more than happy to learn new things :))

chadz, why not put in place old STF with no restrictions what so ever other than you need only one char on account, just as it was before. And keep the STF with one week cooldown for those with more chars. Anways, if you make a new char every day, you should not be able to do anything in strat, as it takes time to recruit and stuff, right?

Suggested that already in another thread, I really like the idea.

Man, I don't know -- maybe the fact that there'd be a cooldown on making characters your main?
Meaning lies as much
in the mind of the reader
as in the Haiku.

the thing is, it is the same argument as for the CD on STF, so you cannot tailor chars for strat, so, what is the difference here?

You could make a STF, make it main, go to strat. Now you have to wait a week for new STF available, what would change if you would have to wait week for setting new main? I say nothing.

Just moving the cooldown from one feature to the other is not solution.

I like it being able to have a main character and a skip the fun character.
Maybe make it so that you can not turn your STF character into the main one?

not that bad idea, i guess people who care about strat will be lvling some char one day or the other after all...
