New armor calculation values are a significant buff to 1handers, and a nerf for their 2h/polearm counters.

Huscarl in three patches every time it got nerfed,
- xbow and some longbows just shoot straight through it on close range
- it lost over 1/5 of hp as well as armor
- the cover was reduced with about 4 points
- i got shot in feet and head from straight ahead
- i cant use it with a crapy awlpike , so anticav is non existant as a 1h user
- couched lances = instant shield breaker in 4/5 encounters
- due to reduced coverage there is no multi ennemy defence possible anymore, you have to turn too much into their direction so you open your back for the second or third guy
- 4-5 Hits from a shield breaker and the shield is dust, so why would i care to take a shield?

Steel Shield
just not an option anymore and i just bought it for a lot of dimes and can forget about getting nearly the same amount back on the marketpalce
I think the idea is to not let people have the best of both worlds (very good and durable shield protection + fast enough to counter in time). If you have enough athletics use footwork and manual blocking once your shield breaks. Or use 2 lighter and faster shields and when one breaks switch to the other.

This patch is crap just like the .230 and the one before. Did nothing to help 2h players, it seems that mod makers still think that because of few really skilled players 2h is always op.

Any patch that buff cavs, 1h+shield and archery/throwing is pure ****.

Could you elaborate on that or at least point me in the right direction?

Soak was decreased, reduction was increased. Reduced soak means almost no bounces for lower damage weapons like 1h. Don't take it wrong, bounces caused by bad positioning are not affected by this, only bounces caused by high armor. Increased reduction means high damaging weapons like 2h and polearms deal less damage on armor, while 1h deal the same damage as before.

I was about to post that they needed to introduce elefants in the next patch so HA:s had something they could hit, but that isnt necessary now.

Fear not, one day we will probably have Elephant archers.

Did you fix the problem where new players could not create characters and log in to the web site with them?

The problem is even if you are number 1 in NA you are still only number 467 in EU or the worst in AUS(number 17)

That was a fast hotfix, you sire are a gentleman and a scholar.

i agree.  however, was this fix because you didnt catch bugs, or because of community outrage?  do you need help testing patches before they're released or do you not have the infrastructure to do private releases to test?

Sounds fishy to me.
Or is that more a medial allegation?
