Builds tested were 25/15, 15/24, 18/27, and 15/30. Also, I agree with you that stabs are comparatively better and your assessment of swings for a 1h balanced between cut and pierce, but it's not so hopeless that you can't just exploit their weaknesses. Nonstab 1hs also have slightly better stats to make up for not having one. Deal with the stab and you're on near equal footing, just with more powerful swings. 1h stab vs other classes may very well be quite a handful, just speaking from 1h vs 1h. Buffing the 1h right swing gave users more options at far, medium, and close range.
I think that the stats are okay since there are clear tradeofffs when choosing a 1h with a good stab. I think it would naturally be alleviated once stab sweetspots are tightened.
