Would be nice to have more. It usually takes feeling somewhat strongly about something since you have to create your own topic in order to express your viewpoints.

If not, then what exactly do they have to offer, that the average person couldn't?

A "board of advisers" is exactly what I was talking about, really.
I'd never suggest granting 20 cRPG players the rank of item balancer, but instead, have a "board" of sorts whose responsibility is to give feedback and suggestions.

That's partially the idea behind the "Item Advisor" rank. Unfortunately, we only have XyNox at the moment with this rank. More importantly though, aside from just being "trustworthy, well-known, longstanding community member", they also need to have the appropriate mindset, as well as a significant amount of game mechanics knowledge beforehand. Their knowledge doesn't need to be perfect of course, but they need to know enough, to be able to ask the right questions and be able to test things properly(as well as the desire to do so). If not, then what exactly do they have to offer, that the average person couldn't?

Lately I've been interested in finding more Item Advisors to recommend, especially with me picking up the pseudo-Item Manager role, as well as the Event Management stuff. What we really need is more EU representation. (Un)fortunately I'm just not familiar enough with the EU playerbase to make and further recommendations than what I have already done.
Stevee and bagge may be good for archery side
Teeth seams to have valid points in almost every balance disscusion around here.
I would suggest Blueknight but you are probably full of him atm.

I would ask to be an advisor but I'm just to bad at the game and I have played only like four builds over the last 18 generations. It takes a special player to be a item team member, I presume.

Well Rebelyell, dont be fooled. The way I talk to you is obviously not the way I talk among people who I know are capable of leading discussions in a mature manner. I dont even know who you are really or what your problem is, yet I have seen you a few times feeling the need to attack me in here. I am not the one to assign any ranks of course but it should go without saying that this kind of attitude is a good example for character attributes which are not exactly "appropriate" for any rank.
