Yeah, not that those 2h guys would be upset or anything if ranged could actually shoot their weapons out of their hands.

Like it were the only thing they would complain if that got implemented...

Actually those 2H guys can receive same fun and ability to disarm opponent with any succesful hit for the arm\hand. Also this will force to use sidearms and can add «deepness» in a battle mechanics.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if melee swings could disarm an opponent, the wouldn't even basic left-right side swings start disarming people? Unless if it was a feature of stab or something, if aimed properly.
I'm quite torn between how awesome disarming looks and how rage-inducing it would be during battle...
