If I liked sports, I wouldn't be on a computer.

Always top of second page.
Hooray for customization and hybridization!
Down with monotonous pure classes!

designated ranged sounds fair. Good idea.

Is it Main characters only, or are alts allowed? Any rule in people changing builds between games (respecs, a new STF every week, etc)?

After playing today in a pub game it's only showed me how important it will be to enforce that armor limit. As for respecs, alts and main characters, I really have no issue with any of it. Teams must be comprised of individual players though, it can't be a roster of just one players alts.

Team sizes have also been lowered to 8v8

ATS team is:

BeatrixKiddo_ATS
Dan_cheATS
451_CATS
Noobie_ATS
Egan_ATS
Mortymor_ATS
Noodles_ATS
Wojtek_ATS

It depends on when we get enough teams to do a worthwhile season. 6 to 8 teams. Please clarify what you mean though.

Aww fuck, Mort's got that +3 Light Crossbow. Perfect for this mode.

Probably more big Rageball changes, among other things. Hopefully that means it will be released in the next week or two?

Too many restrictions!  There are always too many restrictions on events. :(

Let people come as they are, and play how they want!

Give us some examples of frivolous restrictions.

Are the team recruiting threads for this in another forum? GrannPappy is a Free Agent Archer since 1 ranged per team will be allowed.  :o

I suggest you create a number of Battlegroups for this as that way you can 100% manage each team's equipment - give them all tunics of varying colours and a selection of low tier weapons.  All you will need to do is give out the correct team pins for each created battle to the team Captains.

The only think you have to police then is the rosters but nothing can help you there i'm afraid.

Give us some examples of frivolous restrictions.

Teams must wear similar armor (subject to change)
45 armor limit pre-loom
1 Ranged player (Archer, thrower, crossbow) per team, must be designated before the start of a match

Still, I'll sign on if a team needs another player, or as a sub.

I think it might be hard to get 6-8 teams of 11 players though...that's 66-88 players.  I don't know if that many people play Rageball, let alone want to participate in a Championship!  Lets see how many we can get though.

The Similar armor is to create a sort of unity in a team, not to mention stopping teams from having this asinine ragtag of individuals with no apparent cohesion.

The armor limit is to prevent people from having 4 guys in plate sitting around the goal, which at the time of the writing of the thread, was very small. Even now it would still be far too beneficial to a team for them to have a defense comprised of all plate. This is about skill and teamwork, not who can crutch the hardest.

Ranged in cRPG is rather weak during battle before the latest patch, however 1 archer in a rageball team means that the ball carrier or a chaser is being consistently slowed by someone who has only a modicum of skill. Now apply that to a team comprised of 3 to 4 archers all volleying at the ball carrier or the opposing team chasing. Archers, in this mod, are not just limited to being effective with a bow, the same goes with throwers and crossbows.
