Also, just bring a shitty arena shield on your back and when you're fighting cavalry, have fun with your 250 reach.

Its even weaker then Longspear, its a fun weapon to play with but with 25p 14b its a good support weapon; but 200 length and any experienced cav will be able to lance you. if Long spear was 2 slotted it would be great, but the extra 45 length makes it 3 slotted apperently.
But it is a good secondary weapon, and the overhead makes it useful in melee.

« on: June 20, 2012, 12:07:09 am »They only removed polestagger, u still have decent stats. I fight with them on duel with 0 wpf, and i like them. U also have the ability to stop horses, take support weapons, best weapons with bonus against shields and a bigger reach in average. And that bigger reach is really important in actual battles.
I use long-spear.... i'm fucked.. I can't use a "support weapons" because of the 3 slots , unless i feel like hitting some one 10 times before they die or use a 1h weapon. I can't 1v1 I don't have bonus against shield. it takes 3-4 hits to kill a mid armored guy (not counting the 2 on average bounces). No pole stun because of stab only, I can't hit anyone that is more then 10 degrees off my starting point. Flamberg has better reach. I can't hit anyone (that can move with any skill) close up and I have only one attack direction... but yes 2.5 meters of steel is lightning fast right.
Now please say: but you can stop horses...
Most top end 2h can kill horses in one hit.
I have been nerfed to extinction by 2h'ers that bitch at anything that can kill em before they are within reach, archers, pikes, long-spears.
I know 2'h'ers are your main player base but WTF get a grip on the nerfs on support rolls, just because we don't spam around doesn't mean we should get nerfed.
Give Long-spear men something for the love of god.

I actually have 2 keys in strategus, more out of curiosity then anything ells. I wanted to try the raid/plunder function but I am in a Clan so that was out of the question. Joined my second key and fought one battle opponent did not show and then abandoned the project. I think Baldr is in some town somewhere I have not logged him since then. Just saying so I have it on record I do not mean to cheat, and that was not my intention, I learnt about the rule long time after I joined my second key....
