I will try my best to help translate it although my English is not so good.
First of all, one hand Cavalry is fun because it is real. It is very closed to real history.
And then, 1h Cavalry is a part of the game, so it requires balance.
But balance can't be simplily by Nerf (weaken) other classes and skills. It is a joke.
People hate ranges, so they got nerfed again and again. Well, if ranges hate infantry, can we Nerf melee to the point that melee can't even get a kill?
So many people hate cavalry and Horse Ranges,
I will suggest a solution for the balance, so every one will be happy!
1. Restore range to the original, and setting regular cut can't hurt Armor, but pierce can.
2. remove shield requirement, so everyone can use shield. ( in real life, even a moron knows how to hold a shield). Or setting people without shield skills will be slower, but make sure everyone can use a shield. In Native, no shield skills requirement. CRPG just want to make classes more focus (less hybrid)
3. make Cavalry speed and maneuver similar to the donkey ( the current speed and maneuver of Calvary is unreal) in order to make Calvary not so easy to bump people.
As a result:
1. Cavalry attack together because it is harder to control horses now.
2. Cavalry Ranges have to shoot further away to stay away from group fight because it is harder to maneuver in between players.
3. Infantry holding shield (shield wall) and attack forward together.
Please make Japanese bow 2 slots. Japanese is not strong at horse archery in history.
Now because Dev loves Japanese soldiers, people can use the 1 slot Japanese bow and 2 slots Japanese weapons. It is making it looks like the Japanese bow is the best cavalry bow. It is funny.
My main is a lvl 35 Mongolia Cavalry capable of 1hand, shield, and archer. I could do well for all maps. My wpf was 1-hand 75, archery 150, but now the one handed only about 20 left. The huge reduction is ridicules. What is wrong with you? I know you want to make classes more focusing on one class (less hybrid), but it is making the game less fun. Why can’t I be good at riding, melee, and archery? There were plenty of solders could do that in Mongols in history.
In fact, Changes for CRPG are all balances. Not much about other things. What you did to the balance are all about Nerfed archers and less hybrid.
You want us to focus on one skill, but I am against it and make a lvl 35 Mongolia Cavalry who was capable of melee, cavalry and archery. It was good at all maps and could get high scores. Now You nerfed wpf and archery. You are so good at it.
Nerfed is not a solution. It is just a joke. A real balance comes from making the game more history accurate.
