I'm not a professional archer and so will not claim to be. I do, however, have a recurve bow that is for fun target shooting in my yard. The thing is just a measly 30 lb drawback weight and the arrows are tipped with target points, not "broadhead" razor tips for hunting.

I have never killed anything with my bow but I'm pretty damn sure that if I shot a human, in street clothes, the arrow would pierce flesh and destroy any organ it hit. The man might not die instantly, unless it was to the heart, but he sure as hell would die if he didn't receive MODERN surgical medical treatment.

I know for a fact that my arrow would pierce a quarter inch piece of leather and hit hay on the other side. Id like to say that it might go through some thin metal like tin roofing but I have never personally tried that because its dangerous

This is real personal experience with a wimpy 30 lb draw.

I hit a nekkid guy in crpg today with a longbow, historically they wear easily over 100 lbs draw weights, and the person didn't die. Not only did the arrow not go clean through him and leave him clutching a hole through his body but he continued to run another 30 feet to slash me with a sword.

If you want to talk about realism, talk about realism, don't make shit up.

I fully support that archers should have to dedicate their build to master archery where crossbows do not; because its realistic.
I like that crossbowmen have faster missile speeds for that is realistic.
I even like the fact that crossbows do more damage vs heavier armor, for that is still realistic.

What Id like to see is that archers draw time decreased, but their reticle hold time also severely shortened. (Your not gonna hold a 100+ draw bow back for long) This would be realistic.
Id also like to see archers get an accuracy buff, shooting bows is not a hard skill to master. It was the strength to draw back the crazy heavy bows that took years of dedication. Realistic.
Id also like Archery to get a missile speed increase as I feel the arrows drop unrealistically fast, we need them to be very close to crossbows arcs.
Id also like the bows damage to be buffed to be only slightly lower than crossbows vs lighter armor.
Versus higher armor, say 50-55ish, the  current disparity is okay. I feel most arrows would bounce off plate armor unless it found a seam/niche that took all its force or a joint that was only chain mail. But I might be wrong about this part but I'm speaking from personal experience and I've never shot a 100+ lb bow.

This seems like it would eliminate crossbows but really it would just lower the number of pure crossbowmen because melee classes could and would still pick one up to deal with ranged because they need need 0 skill to shoot it on an equal level with what pure archer builds have now. Which again is realistic and what actually happened back then.

What I actually see happening:
Archers loved to shoot, now they are gimp, no more fun.
They switch to pure crossbowmen.
Now there are few archers left and everyone is crossbow.
Crossbowmen do more ranged damage and are more accurate, and are not free kills in melee.
Melee QQ'ers are gonna QQ.
"He hit me with xbow for 60% and then hit with 2 hand 1 slot mace for 25%, knockdown, and hit me on the ground. WTF OMG!!!11one"
Xbows get nerfed to gimp town. Now population: 2

the hitboxes are fine. the facts is people master the stab use by turning and releasing before aiming. i say hitboxes are fine because if you stab while standing still at short range, you glance.

And that is really the problem, with all attacks too.

Sword stabs can last a lot longer than is reasonable (But that could be explained as he is running forward with his sword forward ale Aragorn).
Sometimes you release your block after you've already blocked and the sword remains and stabs you.

Overhead attacks can miss your body, but if they turn into you at any point during the "attack" like after it hits the ground it just slides into the side of your ankle through the dirt and hits you for the same amount of damage.

But with long polearms its the worst. Most of the time when they do it with long spears and pikes the spear is waving it and out of the ground unrealistically. And yes they attack and spin into you, but still its a "stab" and the only part that can stab is way behind me. No matter what direction I'm aiming, if I have a 12ft spear and your 4 or less feet from me it is physically impossible for me to poke you with it.

The only explanation that could be viable, and its flimsy, is that they are holding it close to the point so its only a 4 ft spear and the rest is behind them, but that should require a different animation and an 'x' to change your grip on it.

I can agree to this. As it is if you wear any type of medium armor and weapon its a huge money sink.
If people want to walk around like tanks for fun with no worries, let them, they are on your team so it only helps you.
The Bots might cry about plate clutching though. *gasp*

I personally hate being stabbed by a person 2 ft away when they are wielding a 12 ft pole, that being said, their overhead attacks will come down on me while they have a teammate between the attacker and me.

It has to be one or the other, cant be both.

If i can get hit from 2 feet away while the end of the spear is 4 feet behind me, then the teammate should be hit FIRST in the overhand attack and it wouldn't reach me.

If It doesn't hit the teammate but the end comes down over the teammate and hits me then I shouldn't be able to be hit by the pike 4 ft away from the player.

Basically either the whole model needs a hit box on it, or just the pointy part, not both. As it stands currently its teammate biased and glitchy.

Id prefer that it would still be able to block, but not stab anyone inside its range.

This may or may not have been suggested but Id like to have a Skip The Fun Timer implemented.
The 7 day thing and being able to do it on alts is VERY nice for trying out builds before respeccing. The bad part is trying to figure out exactly when you can do it again. Just a simple countdown timer on the skip the fun tab.
I know it has to keep the time already to know when 7 days is up, just let the player know what it is.

Or this might already be available and I am nub and c ant figure it out. If this is the case anyone know how?

So I can get disconnected from server occasionally, which is no big deal.

The real problem is when I try to join a strategus battle. I can join in a server, both EU and NA, with 100+ people on while its in duel mode no problem. I get kicked for the map change/battle start and rejoin. I wait for the two minute grace period, but 4-5 seconds after everyone spawns and starts moving I get disconnected. I try to rejoin and I continue to get disconnected repeatedly, which never happens any other time I'm playing M&B. Every time I rejoin it loads up but as soon as it renders everyone I get disconnected again.

My Comp's Specs are:

OS- Windows XP
Processor- AMD Athalon 3500+
RAM- 2gb
Graphics- Geforce 9400 GT

While I know this isn't a great comp it should be able to handle M&B. I've already turned my graphics down to reduce graphic lag, and my Internet connection is good 98% of the time.
I just don't understand why I am getting repeatedly disconnected from strat battles.
If i couldn't connect because of my internet then it wouldn't d/c at the same point every time and it would be an internet problem.
If it is because my computer can't handle it then wouldn't the outcome be unplayable graphic lag and not disconnection? Is there something in M&B that auto-kicks if your frame rate gets too low? I just need some help here.

This is my first time retiring and im not even sure how i want to play the game so im not sure what id want to heirloom. Im afraid if i loom something id regret it, but i want to go ahead and retire to get started on the next one.
