Concerning lag:
For a lot of people this battle puts the maximum stress on your computer. In order to get the best performance in battle you can use the following guidelines I stole from the nDitions forum:

Servers

The server is EU_CRPG_8. The maximum number on the server is 170, that means, apart from referees and recorders, each team must have 5 spectators/Substitutes.
I will ask you NOT to use those spots if not needed desperately in order to fight lag.

Commanders of each team meet the referees in the following TS channel 15 min before battlestart: 62.104.20.219:10019

Rules:

Map will be large steppe Medium steppe.
There will be a map change after each 5 finished rounds.

 Each team consists of 75 members. 25% rounded down means 18 people.
- That is 18 cavalry of which 4 may be heavier than destrier.
- 18 ranged.
- 15 may wear armor heavier than transistional.
HA counts as 1 ranged + one cav.
Flags not allowed
Concerning Draws: if a team at the end of a round (draw) has more than twice as many +1 players alive than the enemy they will win the round.
Referees can warn players that they are delaying and if there request to engange is not heeded a win can be awarded to the opposing team.
Referees must warn min. 2 times and at least 30 sec. before end of round, preferably 1 min.
Cavalry beware: As you are the most maneuverable you decide when and where to fight. Do not delay... You might risk your team loosing a match.
Total battle cannot last more than 1 hour and 30 min.

Referees will be:
Tear_of_Destiny, Tydeus, a_bear_irl.

Teams:
Teams will probably garner discussion. I am only going to change it if there are some seriously good arguments against the current team balance.

Team 1 vs. Team 2: Sunday the 26th of June - 19.00 gmt. = Team 1: 6 wins. Team 2: 0. Draws: 2.
Team 3 vs. Team 4: Sunday the 26th of June - 17.00 gmt. = Team 3: 5 wins. Team 4: 3. Draws : 2.

Team 1 vs. Team 3: Sunday the 3rd of July - 17.00 gmt. = Team 1: 8 wins. Team 3: 1 win. Draws:0
Team 2 vs. Team 4: Sunday the 3rd of July - 19.00 gmt. = Team 2 forfeit. Victory goes to team 4.

Team 1 vs. Team 4: Sunday the 10th of July - 19.00 gmt.
Team 2 vs. Team 3: Sunday the 10th of July - 17.00 gmt.

On a side note, it's pretty hard to balance things with multi-clan, but all this doesn't sound too bad.

I can only hope your own assessment of our team's placement was mistaken. :wink:

This is a very novel thing that we're doing here, and it's really impossible to know anything before it's all over. I hope that regardless of how it all goes, everyone will be able to keep a good-natured attitude through the whole tournament. Of course everybody wants to win, but I hope we can all see this as a friendly and above all fun community event rather than something really competitive.

  Well to be honest i think team3 and team4 will have some communication problems since The Pillagers, STR, BiA, Teutonic Knights and RuConquista are russian clans and as you probably know, we have some problems with understanding english.

I have no doubt some of you speak English. You must coordinate accordingly.

Unfortunately I was unable to sort teams according to language barrier if there was to be any sort of balance.

I can only hope and ask for that you try and work this out.

Several solutions could be possible with rooms of languages with commander rooms and whispers what not. I am sure you will figure out something as has always been done in strategus.

UIF did fine with the language barrier, team 4 already has 22nd and other UIF, so i guess they should do quite fine and the pillagers (team 3) have english speaking members to, so translation is possible, hell if it would come that far, Ujin could go translating for team 3  :mrgreen:

Each team must choose a commander. According to the rules everyone on the team can suggest themselves as commander. The commander will be chosen by popular vote within the team. The commander must make a roster in combination with clan-leaders of his team.
-Please do this before Friday the 24th.

Is it possible to move this a bit? Why do you even need the roster before friday? I doubt all clans will have a roster ready by the end of today.

Yes.... Before saturday is fine :D

It does not have to be an exact roster, it is mostly to show the referees that you can show up with a team within the rules and to make all teams work on their teams before Sunday.

A small margin voted for the first option. I rolled some dice to see which match got to play first and it was the second one.

SO Team 3 vs. Team 4 at 17.00GMT and team 1 vs. team 2 at 19.00 GMT.

Good luck to both teams. I am away most of today and probably until early afternoon tomorrow (got some partying tonight).

I am afraid we cannot satisfy all. I talked with some people after the request had been made and everyone was pretty sure that team 1 + team 2 would be playing first.

I hope the GK still are able to participate and now the schedule for the rest of the tournament is available and people can plan there after. If you ahve problem finding 5 members for Sunday at 17.00gmt finding subsitutes already now will probably be easier. Write any such to Ramses and he will talk with team 2 to approve any such subsitutes.

Why are you answering the question? You're not Aemaelius, and the answer is by no means obvious. When people say GMT, they usually mean UK time. Hardly anybody actually adjusts for daylight savings when giving times on the internet, so I wouldn't be surprised if you were wrong about what he meant.

I mean UTC/GMT. That mean Denmark, Germany and the whole CET countries are playing first match 19.00 and second match 21.00.

Another way to say it is 17.00 + 0.

Note that the map is in UTC and a large part of Europe is UTC +1 ekstra because of daylight saving

Britain, Portugal are GMT +1 hence first battle is 18.00 and second is 20.00
Denmark, Germany, France, Italy Spain is GMT +2 hence battle is 19.00 and 21.00
Ukraine, Baltic countries, Romania, Greece, Turkey is GMT +3 hence battle is 20.00 and 22.00
Russia and Saudi Arabia are GMT +4 hence battle is 21 and 23
Georgia and Armenia is GMT +5 hence start is 22 and 24
Eastern Russia and Kazakstan is GMT +6 hence start is 23 and 01.

Why are you answering the question? You're not Aemaelius, and the answer is by no means obvious. When people say GMT, they usually mean UK time. Hardly anybody actually adjusts for daylight savings when giving times on the internet, so I wouldn't be surprised if you were wrong about what he meant.

Indeed. Do note though that I am doing my best not to troll anyone senseless since this event actually matters, so I won't be acting like a blithering idiot, and will be giving actual proper responses in this thread unlike my usual stream of bullshit that I was uttering constantly all of April and May.

1) I had randomly assigned time
2) Teutonic asked for a change as they had thought those mentioned below would play last
3) Therefore I switched time as I saw reason in that argument
4) They saw the error in their ways
5) I switched times back to the original random draw

Thank you for organizing such a big event! This one is gonna be really fun, this is exactly what i have been waiting for. Hope more can be organised in the near future as well.

I can't say which team has a better chance to win because i really don't know it myself, but...most definitely! I will enjoy these battles regardless the result.

Thanks again for all the efforts, lets RAORR on the battlefield and make our enemies bleed!!!!

Odd, nizhny novgorod still seems to use it. Is that because it is such a major trading center?

EDIT never mind I found my answer. Now if only my country would do the same! I find it interesting though that Russia chose to stick with summer time and not winter time, hmm. Regardless, those times that were posted by aemaelius should still work though, right, since it was stopped on Summer time? All my friends in nizhny novgorod still say they are ten hours ahead of me.

With only 20 slots left for everyone else, then obviously RipperX and Referees take priority, but this still leaves little room.

As i mentioned in IRC, i think the limit should be 200.

There's gonna be 150 people playing, but with the amount of substitutes Aemalius suggested, we're easily gonna hit 180-190 online. Furtermore, there should be room for referees, cameramen and a few general spectators.

From what i'm hearing from Espu, it shouldn't be a problem to adjust to 200.

There is gonna be a ton of lag no matter what. I don't think you'll really notice the difference the spectators make.

You've also recommended that we get about 1 sub per 4 man in the roster. I've got about 95 people signed up, and i'm not thrilled at all with the idea of having 15-20 guys just sitting, looking at the server list or doing other stuff. I felt absolutely certain they would at least get to see the game, not idling for 1,5 hours.

It also takes a ton of organization to make sure you get the right guys in every time. Nobody wants to spawn with less soldiers, which means alot of time and energy will be used with simply making sure the right guys get in. Remember, we're talking about ~90 people in a team. That's easily gonna be 5-10 people regularly being switched out, and the simpler it is, the better. (Its not like in a clan match where you say to one guy "You're in next round" and he replies and its no problem. Making sure 5-10 has gotten the message clearly across is no easy job)

Having some people streamline isn't an elegant solution at all. We all know things are much more fun to watch live. With who and how would you even do this?

And to Bulzurs little edit:
With 1,5 hours battle, some people will drop out. That's to be expected, so if you want to be effective, you need substitutes for the whole match.

I need more opinions from other clans. Especially people who know anything about lag.

lag is honestly the biggest concern of mine for NOT letting more people on the server.

Spectating might be ok if we have a few livestreams?

Please understand that I fully understand the impact on motivation, loss of fun etc. But our primary focus must be those actually in the battle.

I will livestream the first battle of which I am not myself participating only co-refereeing to see if everything is in order.
And I can only hope that 1 or 2 spectators might be willing to do the same for the second battle.

Since you are livestreaming, i assume RipperX left out? I don't see any reason to have 2 recorders. Unless you use the livestream for substitutes who can't join the server as a lag-increasing spectator but still want to see the battle.

When choosing which team to join:

Team 3 is upper team, Team 4 is lower team.

Team 1 is also upper team, team 2 will be lower team.

Concerning ripperX I hope he will be there. He said so, but I have heard nothing the past 3 days. We'll see....

Some experiences so far:

1) Battles can last no more that 1. 30 min
2) Each round will last 10 min.
3) That probably means less than 15 round, but we'll never play more than 15 rounds.

This is all pretty new to everyone. Hope for your understanding.

The lag was even worse than I expected; I think my average FPS was about 25. I still had a very good time, though, despite the inevitable organizational difficulties. A big thank you to everybody involved, and congratulations to the organizers! Looking forward to next week's match. :)

I expect next week to be much much more easy and smooth. We learned a lot and so did the commanders.
Accept that faults were made today and that we will do our uttermost to improve.

Hey guys. First my respect for all participating people. 'twas great fun!  :D

Now something more special: How can i get rid (or maybe reduce) the terrible lag i had? I had a ping of 30-50 so thats okay i guess... And my machine is reasonably well with a Phenom x4, 4GB ram and a Radeon HD 6970. But still i was lagging quite a lot.

for example: I did a left feint and immediatly attacked right. Normally this would play out as every time, but on the huge event the right swing wasn't registered if i did it too early and it never happened after the feint. I did try this several times with the same results. If i waited a second before the attack it would register normal.

Is there any means to get this sorted before the next battle on my side? Maybe lower the Video-Settings? Directx7 or something similar? Or is this serverside and nothing can be done about it?

Amazing guys, simply amazing!

You guys did an awesome job, being disciplined, showed discretion, smart and very skilled. Everywhere i looked, everyone was doing as they were told! The pieces fell into place almost automatically! I was only positively surprised during the whole match.

Even with 0 ragdoll 0 corpses it was too laggy to show skills.

It is to be expected in a 150-man battle  :wink:

I made a spoilered "how to" that might help your performance.

Otherwise more ram. Use 64 bit win7.

In short I had a ping of around 50 and no crashes. I don't have an epic system as I use win7, gts250, 4gb, amd x4 processor of sorts.
However I do have one of the fastest internet connection available in Denmark. (Connected to a Copenhagen scientist network).

It is to be expected that the game can't handle this many players and the server is being testet to the max. There will be packet loss and cpu lag serverside but people can minimize the unpleasantness by making their own system more stable.

I think we need some rules to clarify the draws. I mean one time a team gets a draw with 40 to 1, next time no draw when the numbers where 2 to 3. Thats pretty strange. So it would be nice if there is either enough time to not let a draw happen or providing a rule that says for example, if one team is outnumbered by 2 to 1 the team with more players win.

But besides that nice tournament, and good fights.

I would agree to this we fought (last round of match) 75 v 63 and we took the valiant team 1 down to 3 players v 2 cav, when they dismounted and began to charge the pikeman who had made no move, it timed out yet team 1 was classed the victors, (which then led to the subsequent trolling, and turned a peaceful match into a semi brawl)

I suggest you check the replay :P It was a classical case of cavalry vs pikes, the cav to finish the battle should do one of two things when under time pressure -

1. dismount and fight 2v3
2. charge headlong into the pikes in the hope of a pike fail

Team 2 did neither with the two cav and rather just circled round hoping for a weakspot, which may occur in public battles, but not against an organised opponent. The decision made sense, while the 20-1 draw was a bit of a no brainer imo :P

Thanks Tristan. I actually use Win7(64bit) and have a fibreglass-connection. This together with my relatively high-end-PC means i should have no problems whatsoever. But i still have.

So i will look into your guide for optimising the configs. Especially this Nagle-Algorithm seems interesting. +1 for you good sir.

If i get any results with my tinkering i will let you all know which special action had the most consequences. I know many people experience similiar problems and i would be glad to help. :)

Concerning draws:

Without having talked to the referees (Of which I am one of them) and without discussing previous decisions we made I think the following will be the guideline:

A draw is a draw no matter how close or what ever. The only way a draw can be claimed a victory for the other side is if the referees have asked a player or players NOT to delay the match in order to go for draw. Such a warning must come 30 sec. before end of battle preferably before.

Especially cav must be very aware of this. You are used to run around finding weak spots in enemy formations. They do NOT exist in this type of tournament. Hence either dismount or charge. Odds are, because of your maneuverability, referees might decide that you are delaying match.

Taking above into consideration I still believe in hindsight that both decisions were correct. But this will always be subject to discussion. What ever the case the referees will be using above written as guideline and their decision in battle is law. Basicly... Suck it up.... Some have experienced worse:

Attack is the best way of defense, team 1 was attacking & charging (organized ofc, not berserk) most of the time, it's not our fault we were 2 seconds short of killing the last runaway cavalry, if he was a half-decent guy at least he would of stopped running away in a situation 25:1 and just die in time to make it a clear round instead of draw. Unless, ofc, he was counting to kill all of us, in which case I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way he planned.
We did the best we could.

As for the 3 pikes vs 2 cavs situation: i said on TS that Leed should dismount and kill em all, too bad he has more faith in his backstabbing capabilities rather then face-to-face fighting.  :twisted:
Also, that round we charged the highest hill in the map with our horses, took us like 2 mins to get up there, only to figure out they fled down the other side of the mountain.  :wink:

No QQing from me tho, its good to know draws like this count. When the time comes ill gladly take draw instead of losing.  :wink:

There have been 20-30 guys left against 1 HA who was running around in circles. I play as cav, got 6 or 7 kills that round and to hear that it's a draw is really shit. I could just run around on my champion courser delaying the match, and our team will at least draw every round.

I disagreed with that decision, Okin told me if I disagree I should leave, and that's what I did. No point of killing 10 % of the enemy team if there is one guy left runnning away so we don't win.

As one of the pikemen: We moved, and we also made some risky moves (at least I did, I'm not very good at playing safe :D).
That said IMHO it's ok that we got the point, but only because of the lousy draw a few rounds before. It should've been the other way round, the 20:1 draw should've been counted as win for us and the 3:2 draw should've been a draw.

However, thanks to all participants, it was great fun. Btw., did anyone record Thor's introduction on the Fallen's training server? :D

First point if extra time is added commanders may speculate in time. The reason of a round of only 10 min. is for action to happen and not camping battles. In other words we will NOT be adding time to battles. However, we WILL do so that the 10 min of a round is only AFTER the forming up in order to check equipment. Aprox 11 min per round. Probably 12 for the first.

Second point. When the draw happened a count of living players could be done and if one side as a significantly larger % of players a win could be awarded. I am completely open for this to be put into the rules

Third point as such I agree and that I have already taken into consideration in the first guideline I wrote in this thread.

so tl;dr:
Do we want to add a rule that says: If by the end of a round and it has become a draw one team has more than 100 % living players than the enemy they will be awarded a win.

I see some point against this: What if it is 1 vs 2? that is 100 % more and could end either way. 2 vs 5 might be more obvious so if it is to be implemented a win will only be awarded if the team has MORE than 100% of the opposing team.

The problem of thoses two cases of possible Draws, was that it was always the team 1 who was attacking, charging uphill, etc, and everytime, they reached the top of the hill just to see that the ennemy team had moved away.  :shock:

So after constant walking, under a blazing stun, constant charging, against a tactical-retreating opponent, to hear we "draw" a round when there was 20 or more of us vs 1 single opponent was really hard to accept.
I mean, we were clearly the ones engaging, and doubt we wasted time in one way or another. So to draw a round because of 10sec time, in such a dominating position... Damn ! :P
To take an example, if the same scenario happens, but in the other way around, or a team was camping so much, taking advantage of higher ground, and finds herself with 20 members remaining versus one single ennemy. And time ends. Then it would have been a draw, definitely.

I don't think there should be this new rule, Tristan, (If by the end of a round and it has become a draw one team has more than 100 % living players than the enemy they will be awarded a win.) I'd rather leave it to the COMMON SENSE of admins to be able to judge a situation. Else, if such rules existed, then Commanders would take it in account, hide their weakest members, or whatever.

The more I think about the new rule, the better I like it.

1) Common sense doesn't work for rules. We can't start handing out moral victories.

2) twice as many players +1 as the enemy is quite a lot. You can't save the worst part of your army when you need that superior a number.

3) People delaying going for draw can still be deemed a loss as the referees can warn people NOT to delay.  Beware cav.

4) With this we will still have draws, but some more obvious and sad ones would be removed.

Also, that round we charged the highest hill in the map with our horses, took us like 2 mins to get up there, only to figure out they fled down the other side of the mountain.  :wink:

It was only their infantry and cavalry that fled. Oddly enough their archers stayed to fight and got slaughtered before we moved on to the infantry and cav :lol:

I don't want to encourage grudges...but you are right Okin did say that as a general comment towards the entire team following the uproar of the decision. But then if someone says something like that, then you should just ignore them. Equally referees ect shouldn't say stuff like that. You don't goad the players, you make the decision and then get on with it.

Well if it wasn't you then one of the admins/refs definitely did.

I think your comment there also supports longer than 10min round times. Whilst 10 mins is ok, I think a proper battle should have time to skirmish and then fight. There is no real rush, why force there to be one? No one here is impatient and the point of this is to do it properly. So time limit should really not come into it.

Hmm, not me, I was only yelling things out in the first Match. The second match I was a side referee and only yelling for people to "form up" and such.

I slightly remember someone saying something along the lines of leaving, but I don't really remember who (Though I don't think it was OkiN) or what it was directed at, though I dimly think it was in reference to someone complaining using the "I" admin text chat about how much time there was per round.

Why is less rounds played a bad thing? It shouldn't matter if the rounds are fun. And I honestly don't think putting on a time limit makes it so. I think things should be allowed to play out naturally and properly. Not forced and rushed because we only have 10 mins. Otherwise it's more hectic and less organised.

I know that. But it was at the start of the engagement. It was the first battle. You can't really predict how it will play out. So whilst that was fine for the first battle, I'm just wondering whether it should be revised for the future.

And maybe the camping was more down to the teams commanders than the time limit?

That sounds like the best system. The round time difference between the two battles means that counting rounds really won't work. A rematch would be no bad thing if it was needed :)

I see some point against this: What if it is 1 vs 2? that is 100 % more and could end either way. 2 vs 5 might be more obvious so if it is to be implemented a win will only be awarded if the team has MORE than 100% of the opposing team.



In such a situation or a similar one with such a low number of players who are actively fighting one another.

Will it really be that bad of a delay to add 30 seconds so they can finish each other off?

Yes. Commanders might unintentionally coordinate after this. Time will not be added.

@score count:

Wins for each round does not matter. Only overall wins. Ties will result in an extra battle.

Team 1 kept attacking Team 2 all the time but one "heroic" rider managed to get away from the battle long enough to make it a draw (or was he actually planning to backstab or headshot all of us, 20-30 i believe was the number, on his own?). Please, enlighten us with a solution for such a situation, mister Einstein ?

I'd say the lonely rider vs 30 our guys should have been a victory for us. In the same draw of breath I'll also say that 2 cav vs 3 pikemen should have been a draw instead of our victory.

Overall, it's the same amount, so doesn't make a difference on the scoreboard. I urge referees to use common sense as well as the rules.

As I mentioned there "The battle was won" meaning that we won the last round in the vid, "but the war - wasn`t" meaning that the whole match was won by Team 3 :).

Also besides that what might be nice to know is that, In Mount & Musket Grand Campaign ( 120 vs 120 player battles max) there was a rule that if one side was down to a ratio of 1 vs 10 then they lost the round. That rule seemed to work fine, however it must also be said that there was no pre-set number of rounds / round time, the only rule of time was that there would be played for 1 hour in total -  including all the rounds -.

I only quoted and responded to the first part of your post cause it sounds like a clear provocation for Team 1 (who actively attacked in all the rounds they played), while your "solution" was already dismissed in the earlier posts by admins and referees.
Not that i don't agree with it but its not easy do decide who was running away, delaying, or anything like that, someone will always question it. Personally i didn't even see the one guy who kept avoiding death and pulled a draw on us but if most of the people say he was running away then i recon he was. On the other hand: i spectated Leed and the other cav vs our 3 pikemen and they sure weren't prolonging on purpose, they just made the wrong decision to stay on their horses instead of dismounting. I'm all for common sense decisions in such cases: the first case was a clear victory for Team 1 while the second case was a clear draw. But if someone HAD TO BE guilty for that draw it would surely be Leed for not dismounting and killing them all. If anyone should be blaming him for not getting a win then its his own team.  :wink:
I think some common sense rules should be made and leaders of the teams should be informed about them, so next time they can warn their members on TS not to run away, to dismount when needed or anything to prevent a draw. Main objective should be to try and win rather then try to hold for a draw, if you are unable to win then be a gentleman and lose. Draws in such events have no sense whatsoever, you didn't assemble 170 people to be making draws now, did you ?

I thought we were talking about fictional teams A and B instead of an actuall team?
I was not at the battle, I have not watched any videos, I have not heard of the result or anything, I was merely commentating on the made up Team A and B  and their situation.

Anyway, these rules should be  a guideline for the refferee and the players. And then be left to the common sense of the refferee.

If one team has more than twice at the end of the round , they should be awarded 1.5 points and opposite team 1 points.
So it will make the difference if happen two time , or if it end by a general draw

With a clear majority (almost 5:1) The rule will be implemented.

That is: if a team at the end of a round (draw) has more than twice as many +1 players alive than the enemy they will win the round.

A lot of teams are having difficulty finding subs. Especially holidays are player a surprising negative effect on participant number.
Team commanders must find the subs themselves.

I am allowing non-clan and other clan subs in order to field 75 man team.

I would like to add a kudos for Ramses for making team 1 very well organize roster-wise. Commanders of other teams consider doing a full roster with sign-up in good time?

Yeah, midsummer isn't really the ideal time for this kind of thing. Strange as it may seem, everybody being on vacation is more of a curse than a blessing when it comes to organizing events like this. Seen it all before.

No, you cant look in the future but you can check with your clanmates if they intend to be there or not, if there is at least some chances about them showing up before you actually sign them.
I signed 10 but i could of fielded 15 for the first sunday, since i wasn't sure for several guys i chose to sign less and be safe rather then sign more and risk a situation like this, where people just don't show up.  :wink:

Of course I check if my people intend to be there and in a week time (With the activity of 10 people atm) only 7 could make it.

But I really don't have to go and give any explanations because INACTIVITY CAUSED BY HOLIDAYS seems obvious enough.

@Aemaelius: I don't care if people go on holidays because no strategus is up so I'm not going to track who's currently on holidays etc or I don't need to know people's plans of going on holidays either and I didn't expect about 30 people going away on holidays which last from 3 weeks to a month even.

We could've came with 5-7 people but it wouldn't make a difference and we have a small problem with recent hackings (http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,9500.msg140171.html#msg140171)

Having a preset and organized team to train with is nice, but having randoms substitute is really just asking for disaster. I'll speak with Cymro to see if he's willing, though. Sadly yesterday I think Acre was the only faction in our group who was able to gather the required amount of members.

If no matter what you guys aren't able to come up with an actual rost, at a minimum can we get some sort of expected team count? If we get it in by Friday, we might be able to figure something out if your team is a few members short.

Didn't see who did not bring enough players, but Legio had 15 players at start (some from our m&m regiment, others untagged), and we signed with only 10.
Some had crash issues, others GTXted when they saw our squad was badly outnumbered, but we had at least 10 players for all the rounds.
We would gladly sign again with 10 players + some sub.

Tristan, if u suddenly allowed team2 to add another clan because of they lack players, then team3 also has the same problem. Even if you ignore the actually balance between both teams, either way it is only fair to support team3 with another clan as well.

I won't be there for the matches Sunday, Tydeus is completely in charge.

However my opinion:

at first subsitutes were not allowed to avoid this specific problem. However team 2 fell apart and almost team 3 as well.
Thing is, without subs no battles would happen. It is long gone where this could be an actual competitive tournament. Team 1 won this long ago with two victories in a row (only team 4 has a change to change it but only due to team 2 forfeit).

Regard the team 1 vs. team 4 as sort of final.

Team 2 and Team 3 are supposed to have fun. No subs would equal no battle. I won't dictate for whom the subs are playing but would recommend to everyone makes sure that both teams field an almost equal sized armies.

Thank you all for participating. Big thanks to the referees who spent each of their sundays helping out.
And thanks to the team commanders trying to gather the teams. Especially thanks to Ramses for coordinate the solid block of troops in team 1.

If no clan can be found to sub for team 3 then DRZ can only have as many subs in, as to match team 3's numbers. If Team 3 somehow has less members than Team 2 without counting any of DRZ's subs, then we will either split any subs from Team 1/4 between the two teams or not have DRZ play at all. We are doing it this way since none of you have bothered to send me the tiniest shred of a roster.

DRZ gets to play earlier in the day so I won't allow them to join Team 2 at the cost of team 3's fun.

So how this will work: We will look at how many players of each team there are, when there is an imbalance or less than 75 players, we will start adding subs. Subs will be added until both teams are even. Once teams are even, as long as there are enough subs to add 1 player to each team, we will do so until both are at 75 players.

Nicely played all, final score was 6-3 to Team 3, great commanding by all, thanks to DRZ for acting as subs.

And overall cheers to Aemalius for hosting the event, the referees and the Train we had at the end of the match haham very enjoyable, hope to participate again sometime

I am happy to hear that the battles were completed.

i personally was surprised how calm it was on TS, usually when we do CW in native with friends, we are like 10 and its messy there, but hey, they are bunch of youngsters

In other words: we were the ones attacking most of the time, the others just stood there and watched us coming.  Equally challenging i must admit, whether it was charging the flat plains, charging the hill or just.....charging. :twisted:

On a related note, I don't know, it was unintentional, I don't even know which post I did it on, I find this method of -1 & +1ing people rather pointless so if you get one from me, you should know that I either completely disagree or agree.
In this case however, I may just have been scrolling down with my mouse in my hand leaning against my face so that I can both speak on ts to people like Bjarky and scroll down the page so I may have hit RMB.

I hope someone did because the torches and the suiciding looked epic. There was also that one guy at the ending trying to hack away at the people jumping.
