Fantastic, I am going to wait a week or so to watch the bug reports, then try it myself.

Good work.

sounds very nice! Did you make the LOD models yourself?

From looking through the files, they seem good.

Perhaps we could get it with the official release.

No :) Used automatic tools in MeshLab, 3ds Max & wings 3d.

Yeah, I'm going to wait until this gets added or is bug free, but it looks really nice any ways!

Segd, does this work alongside scarymod 2, or does one overwrite the other? I first applied optimjization, then scarymod 2. Thank you for your work. I always get hardware lag when I play on those user created maps with a ton of buildings or trees.

Yes. I run them both and it really helps my FPS. Sadly, I did get the crash again today when running in dx9 again though :(

well since even a year 2006 geforce 7950GT card with a year 2006 E6600 cpu still give you 80-120 fps at DX9 medium details...

warband engine is old as hell... you could even run it on a old prescott + nvidia 6600/ati X800...

I have Q6600 @ 3.0 GHz, 4 GB DDR2 and 8800GT GPU and still have massive FPS drops on some maps while running on medium settings (riot in a swadian city for example), despite using Ozin's low textures pack. It's a matter of faulty textures and I only have this problem in cRPG, not in Native, not to mention I can play most newly released games with medium-high details.

I dont know if this is anything or what it affects but when the game was loading in the screen with the 2 horsed riders charging each other I got a message repeated about 5x in a row "Failed to reregister mesh charger plate ignoring for now" or something to that nature.Otherwise so far so good ty.

WinRAR is free and easy.

I just re-installed cRPG (non-overwrite) with the low-res texture and LOD patches, seems to get rid of some of the framerate hiccups.

ya and its just more crap you have to install, when its completely unneeded.  thats like saying microsoft word viewer is free, instead of someone sending you a .txt file

Being able to open rar files is handy. Being too lazy to get 7zip or winrar while being arrogant enough to demand someone else do it for you is not cool.

The standard archive format... you mean .tar.gz right ?

I get a nice black, empty screen when I try to connect to a server.
(DX9)
Any idea why?

This new patch line made cRPG unplayable for me. qq

well don't know.. even with my old mule [email protected] 4Gb DDR2 and ati 4870 i had 120 fixed fps with HDR, env shadows, anisotropic.

maybe there are bugged textures... as with that machine i had no problem running 1257AD mod with 200 battlesize.

Remove RGL_config.txt in "My Documents" folder of M & B Warband

Small improvement in FPS, but was not tested yet on very busy maps where I experienced massive FPS drops before.

Using Dell Lattitude laptop with crappy Intel GMA365 (x3100) graphics, running DX7 mode.

Hmm. after reinstalling cRPG like five times, then installing this fix, and doing a lot of tweaking in my Nvidia panel, I think the game is working!

i would be very happy if u post the tweaks/settings you'r using  cuz the freeze between 2 frames is killing me!

I'd like to support the suggestion of adding LODs to cRPG. A lot of weapons wouldn't really suffer visually from having them and it can really help older machines (and newer ones too in big battles).

After installing low-res texture pack the 2 frames freeze was all gone for me on dx9. Don't be skeptic about installing it - it really doesn't affect your visuals that much.

i laready installed the low text pack and the optimization, couldn't test before now i'll post results. I suffered heavily from the 2frames freeze so probably if these nice patches are gonna fix me will do for everyone..

Yeh, something about that last patch didn't agree with my computer.  thanks, this really helped out a lot in getting rid of frame rate skipping, packet loss and crashes.  Hopefully they will incorporate it into the next cRPG update.

After I downloaded this (I THINK), the Sword Of War, when holstered doesn't show correctly. The holster is always empty.... :D

I updated my OS from XP 32bit -> Windows 7 64bit, and now I'm able to play this mod without any performance optimizations, and with pretty high graphical settings. No freezes or lag anymore. Just thought that this information might interest someone.

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core 2 4300@1,8GHz
RAM: 2GB
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4600 512MB

FYI - this is not needed with the new c-rpg patch because it is already included. (in fact, I'm pretty sure it is incompatible as well)
