We are Clan Ninja. We are one of the oldest clans in cRPG, founded June 27th 2010. We are a themed Clan who play like Ninjas, you guessed it! To be a Ninja, you have to follow our Ninja guide and apply on the cRPG clan website. Please also leave a message in this thread and introduce yourself to everybody.

We have a restriction rule for items to keep our clan themed. When you are playing on your Ninja character please only use the allowed items. You are free to use other items on alternate characters if you still want to use the banner, just don't use the Ninja_ tag when you are using them. If you have any questions about equipment just ask here in the thread.

The official server and forum rules apply for everyone and I want every member to follow them. Bad behavior will not be tolerated.

I still have no clue what TS you people like to inhabit, the past two weeks of squatting in Nditions certainly didn't clarify the situation.

Finding Thomek there all alone one evening was more confusing than anything else. I need an adult.   :cry:

Whenever I play I'm in Nditions, except when I play with Tenne I'm in his TS, but next time I see you I'll check if I can give you the TS info for that one.

Updated OP with contact data, I will work on the memberlist and more detailed information when my exams are done on monday.

Friday is the clans 4 year anniversary :) sure feels longer than that. We had great people coming and going in this clan and shaped a lot of noobs into not so noobish players

I'd love to do a little event, but I'm gone for the weekend and I have to study for my last exam. Maybe we'll do a little event in the near future, you as event manager could think of something, molly :D

Yeah it's allowed :D

I just didn't bother showing the samurai guide anymore since the clan is not that active anymore and I wanted to keep it simple. Just add the Samurai_ tag and play as one.

Naturally, I must come out of the shadow and stress the importance of style :) Does your gear make sense? Can it be done better or more stylish? :) Ask yourself this, and you are generally ok.

I have MW War Darts and headshots do kill. They are mainly to annoy and stagger tho - especially effective to stop xbower from reloading. That works even with 1 PT and daggers. :wink:
So, yea, it is worth it. But the main focus would be on the switch to 27 agi/9 wm/9 ath obviously.

Right now I have 108 (green) wpf in pole and that is pretty slow on the bamboo tbh. I'd like to have more pole in particular.

moar tips:
we have 2 late night ninjas(except me), Thomek and Waffle.

Waffle always throw thingys before he use his katana, and her melee style is different than Waffle, so she's not Waffle.
Her style does not match with Thomek, believe me i watched her rounds after rounds, and Thomek is the one who i spend most of my ninja time together. BUT, Thomek is an admin, so is she.
S-key kick/swing. That's how i killed her with my archer at melee fight. Thomek is good enough to avoid kicks, so another minus one point for Thomek. She's not Thomek imo.

so i vote for Renay, BUT that admin right confuses me. FML.

Seeing the close relationship between Guards and Ninjas, i'll probably continue looking in that direction.
More guard admins : Elmuri, Patoson.

Been a while since i saw elmuri play, and lately, he's only been playing a staffmaster. I can't imagine him with a 2h sword.
Patoson ? I don't know much about him, sadly...
But since we've eliminated all other guard's candidate, it's either someone entirely different, or him.

I'm very proud of that conclusion.

okay let's be realistic, you simply can not kill 15 ppl, HA's everywhere and i'm not even talking about archers. so many ranged these days, and you can't survive against that firing squad with your ninja build. my argument is VALID.

There are maps that allow for it, but true, you can't expect to do that well in any given situation.

Yeah 15 kills in current battle sounds pretty hard. Btw where did you find that requirement? I was looking at the ninja forums and only found score requirements... that sure is old tho and I'm pretty sure the score system has been tweaked afterwards.

What you guys think, 100 points too stiff for black hood? I think it's still about right, not impossible, but a real achievement the first time a new player make it happen. Seasoned players probably have 100 points now and then and good ones all the time :)

It should maybe depends on the number of rounds in the map ? If there's a 7 round maps, it's easier to reach such a "high" score, than when it's only a one-sided 4 round map.

If even i can do that in 4 rounds, it should be doable in the long run. (though throwing Jarids in horses is one cheap way of getting points. Then throwing shurikens at unarmored horses is the other.)
The hood is just for fashion anyway, doesn't matter too much if it's too hard to get it, imo.

Renay, maybe you wanna c&p the item list from the Ninja forum to avoid misunderstandings. Put them in the OP.

And maybe we can agree on: 100 points, 1st place at the end of the map on Battle server as updated requirement for a Black Hood duel?

What I like to suggest on top is the following: everyone who is interested and invested enough to acquire the Black Hood is required to follow the equipment rules to the letter.
That way everyone who just wants to play a fun alt and benefit from the armoury can stick to lower hoods or none at all and keep a bit more of equipment freedom.
Those who enjoy the challenge of becoming an official Black Hood should have to obey to the strict rules.

There is a reputation to keep :D Tho you and me are not the doing much to it, I guess ^^

I'd rather just get rid of the 1st place requirement. That 15 kill goal is fun because it forces you to find backstab opportunities.. I doubt many could pull that score just by rushing head first into first fight, not even if they shine in dueling.

Although I'd love to see alternative goals for siege. There are many ninjas on EU2 who I doubt are playing battle much (if at all).

Yea, sounds cool to me. Dropping the score and first place requirement for battle then and instead stick to "merely" 15 kills :D

Siege, well, Sini should figure that one out. Probably the most siege experience from all of us.

Molly, the gear rules apply to everyone with the Ninja_ tag. If someone simply wants to use the banner and play with whatever gear they want, they can remove the tag or make an alt.

I won't change the requirements, that is up to Khorin and most of all Thomek since he is the Grandmaster of the clan and created it to his vision and I don't wanna change that so people find it easier to get Black Hood.
Talk to Thomek about that. Also, that would mean the cool drawings and Ninja guide Khorin created will be redundant.

Nah, not really. Just in general...

Ninjas is about the challenge. Playing with low mid-tier body armor, no head armor, a fast but very short weapon and barely health... and still some top the scoreboard.
That is more of an achievement than to dress up in 60 armor and use a 120 length greatsword and top it. In my opinion... My opinion doesn't really matter tho and I am not complaining, I chose this. Merely a reminder that we use not the min/max gear like most of the others do...

Also, remember that if you fight against blackhood for a green or blue hood, you don't necessarily have to win. You may still get the hood if you prove to be skilled enough.  :wink:

I'm currently in process of moving apartments. Currently living at my parents for the next 1-2 weeks, so only PC I have is my laptop. Don't expect me to be around much during this time(not even on steam), because I'm renovating my new apartment while working fulltime.

Alright my minions. I am back!

I was busy setting up my new PC and after that internet. Never knew getting an internet connection could be such a bitch. I might be up for EU1 Invasion today, maybe I'll be out with friends, otherise I'll be there.

I will not read through the 3 pages you guys wrote while I was gone  :mrgreen:

Currently there is no way to get black hood through siege score, also you have to top the scoreboard, not just get 15 kills. Maybe we will add more achievements and ways to progress through the ranks, but that would make the awesome ninja guide khorin created redundant and I really like it. If Khorin is willing to make another one we will think of something.

That's pretty hardcore requirement in Battle these days. Score and kill amount is ok (hard but possible), but I must protest the need to top scoreboard... that doesn't make any sense and it's damn difficult with so many epic levels running around.
Luckily the hood status is just symbolic though...

I know I first saw it in the Kengeki Gaiden mod, might have some more luck checking there. I wouldn't recommend it though, it has very confusing animations and you can't make it only apply for your own character.

I'll see what I can dig up from that ancient thread, you better appreciate this.

It would seem to me that the easiest way to make this happen is to download kengeki(Link (http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,157892.0.html)) and simply replace the animation brf files from crpg with the ones in kengeki, as well as making sure that the old files are no longer loaded and the new ones are in the module ini file.
The files you're supposed to take from the kengeki resource folder are these: Kegenkianin, w-y-ani1, y-ani1 and y-ani2
I'll be honest and say that I don't have a bloody clue what animations you're supposed to replace without cocking things up. Ask Tydeus or perhaps Battlepriest.
I'm not willing to subject myself to the trial and error involved here, so I'll leave that up to anyone interested. Remember to backup your resource folder by god.

The thing that confused me the most when rumaging through the crpg folder was that I simply couldn't find the regular native(ish) animations.
I could find redundant animations from the CAE pack and some misc ones but that was about it.

I need an adult.  :oops:

Recently watched that video you made 2 years ago, Thomek, and I think it looks great. I think it's probably the first time I've rooted for a ninja in Warband ever.  :D A continuation for it would be great (specially if I get to partake in it, I'm great at portraying death people).

Also, about the banner slot, couldn't we just donate a sum of money each (voluntarily)? I personally wouldn't mind.

You can donate whenever you want to, but I will still keep the 25 gold daily fee for looms, you guys can handle losing 25 gold a day. It will help with the clans finances in general and sometimes some of our players need a loan and then we have something to give.

Hey guys,

I think it is time to make an official ninja charater from my part.

I wanted to do it earlier , cus sometimes letting the ninja spirit in you can set you free from all the madness in cRpg. Espically on my failed come back as a thrower. :D

Are their still rules to be followed to join , even as a kind of supporter of the clan?

Btw , i think i gonna name the char Ninja_Acka :P

I am playing 15/26 currently on lvl 30. Soon I will be 31 and then the 9 ath will bring it. Got 6 WM, which makes me able to swing around much faster then anyone else still.

Go for that, 18/24 at lvl30. Even a little better melee power than I have at 35. With all the armor around nowadays you need that powerstrike. But use a fast weapon with so little WPF! :D

Hello fellow Ninjas,

I've been in Ninjas for a while now and I really did enjoy my time but I feel it is time to move on.
We all know that the activity of the Clan is on an all-time low at the moment and has been there for quite some time now. I am still playing quite a lot tho and I am starting to miss the support of my fellow Clan members.
Therefore I decided to leave the clan with a heavy heart. I always wore the banner proud and tried my best the represent the Ninjas in a proper manner... and lighten it up a little ;)

I hope there will be no hard feelings and there is a high chance that I will create an alt character to rejoin and from time to time wear the banner again.

I wanna thank especially Khorin and Thomek for letting me be a full member of the Clan despite my Bandit history :D

I haven't decided yet where my path will lead me next but I will always treasure my time with the Ninjas in high regard!

Yeah it's been rather quiet ever since Ninjas gave up on Strat 2 years ago. Mostly people have been just casually playing and there's never been too many of us so it's understandable that you want to check on more active clans.

Thanks for holding our banner high for so long on Battle and see you in the field someday!  8-)

Well, I don't know :) but you can make it active! I don't have much time to play atm, besides my skills have drastically deteriorated since back when, and last time I played I got a serious beating..

Anyway, I guess you are most welcome. Just read the rules and wear appropriate equipment. You can access the armory too.

Hello Ninjas!

IamMe a and always liked to play a style which prefers wits over armor. So far I play Chivalry with the Deadly Warrior DLC where I payed Ninja most of the time (the boosted jump is just too awesome). The first few games on cRPG I played as a scavenger without any armor or weapons. I like to ride Donkeies though. At the moment I am working on a build to play. So just hit me up for tips or if you want to play with me.

Hope to Ninja with you someday ^^

Ninjaing is harder these days with the higher levels IMO. Cut damage just doesn't cut it (lol) against some of the beefier dudes and the ranged just tear through the lamellar vest. Plus you don't have that burst of speed by comparison as a lot of people have 7 or 8 athletics these days. It's a tough time.

I'd suggest going something like a 2h/throw highbred with the studded warclub for that blunt damage.

Or some beastly 18/27 Nodachi Ninja. 18/27 6IF, 6PS, 9ATH, 8WM 186 2h WPF. Oh I might do that myself...

Damn it was so cool to play the other day. I have to say you ninjas displayed some leet skills! Keeping up the tradition guys :) awesome.

I know in my heart that somehow we can continue the tradition in M:BG. I still dream that we can have a mysterious Ninja fortress/stronghold in some mountainous corner of the map. :D
